This meeting is being held in conformity to the Open Public Meetings Act N.J.S.A. 10:4-6 et. seq. Proper public notice of the meeting was published in the local papers on DATE and DATE. If any Board member or member of the public in attendance believes that the meeting is inviolation of the Open Public Meetings Act, the Hoboken Board of Education requests that theymake a statement at this time.

The Board wishes to make those in attendance aware that this meeting is being recorded on videoand will be broadcast by the Board at a later date on CATV Channel 77 and Fios Channel 46. The Board publicly advertised for Requests for Proposalson May 30, 2014 in the Star Ledger and responses were to be received by the District by June 19, 2014. The Districtposted this notice on its website throughout this period, under “Notice of RFP - School District Special Services”.Proposals were received from nineteen (19) respondents.

Recommended Action RESOLVED, that the Hoboken Board of Education approves a contract for the professional services of R-PatSolutions, Roselle Park, New Jersey as the firm to provide Executive Search Services for the Hoboken SchoolDistrict. This professional service contract was procured through a fair and open process pursuant to P.L. 2005,c.271, for the period beginning August 20, 2014 and ending June 30, 2015, or until a permanent superintendent ishired, and is awarded to R-Pat Solutions, Roselle Park, New Jersey at the fee of $8,900.00 (plus pre-approvedexpenses) as set forth in the proposal. The Board publicly advertised for Requests for Proposals on June 30, 2014 inthe Bergen Record and July 2, 2014 in the Star Ledger; responses were to be received by the District by July 8,2014. The District posted this notice on its website throughout this period, under “EXECUTIVE SEARCH SERVICES(Superintendent Search)”. Proposals were received from four (4) respondents.

Subject 10.11 Award of Contract for Parent Involvement Professional Services




Recommended Action RESOLVED, that the Hoboken Board of Education approves a contract for the professional services of Cohen Arts &Education, Jersey City, New Jersey as the firm to provide Parent Involvement Training and Workshop Services forthe Hoboken School District. This professional service contract was procured through a fair and open processpursuant to P.L. 2005, c.271, for the period beginning September 1, 2014 and ending June 30, 2015 and is awardedto Cohen Arts & Education, Jersey City, New Jersey at a fee not to exceed $21,000.00 as set forth in the proposal.The Board publicly advertised for Requests for Proposals on May 28, 2014 in the Star Ledger; responses were to bereceived by the District by June 10, 2014.
