SUNDAY, APRIL 14th 7:30 PM SEE WHAT HAPPENS WENDY ROGERS Joined by John Diaz, Jennifer Jerum and featuring grace shinhae jun, Mitchum Todd, See What Happens (2011-2020) rekindles past dancing through REPO - a process of recovering and exploring histories at play in dance making. Rogers and collaborators repossess moving artifacts from her body of work (1968-present) while generating dances arising from the emerging present. THURSDAY, APRIL 4th 7:30 PM CIRCLE MADE OF DASHES a shape to name love by 2018 Young Choreographers Prize Winner Chelsea Zeffiro in collaboration with Angel Acuña & Guests present a dance that is an exercise in play and fluidity; a dedication to each other and to the audience. How might one become the shape of an Other? – To form, un-form and re-form in movement and with love. FRIDAY, APRIL 5th 7:30 PM THE LIFE AND TIMES OF MS. KAREN HENDERSON MARIA NAIDU Joined by Imre Zsibrik, Mathilda Spjuth, and Tom, Dick, & Harry, produced by An association of arms&legs. A multifaceted, auto-fictional, one- woman show that questions cultural identity and ethnic belonging as well as some curiously held stereotypical notions concerning dance as a profession. A vibrant and colorful one act solo with a touch of ironic humor. SATURDAY, APRIL 6th 7:30 PM SENIOR PROM SDDT AGING CREATIVELY An immersive, intergenerational, interactive walk down memory lane. Bring your honey or find one at the party! Choreographers include Andromeda Bradley, Yvonne Gagliardo, Jean Isaacs, Gail Mitchell, Betzi Roe, Mitchum Todd, and George Willis, and joined by Bart and Mary-Lynne Maderios, and Steve Baker as DJ and host. SUNDAY, APRIL 7th 7:30 PM EMERGE: INTO THE LIGHT SDDT WORK STUDY ARTISTS This dynamic group of choreographers delves into the concept of transformation. Sifted through the various lenses of nature, connectivity, and status quo, we look to present work that kinesthetically illustrates the struggle and energy needed to truly emerge.
