Don’t wait for something to happen - prepare your home for senior living in advance!
External approach to the house :
o Stairs are not safe for seniors! Installing ramps make access to the
house much easier
o Installing grab rails for support also helps to prevent falls
o Ensuring that paths have a firm, level surface, preferably with anti-skid
tiles.
o If required, installing additional security measures (from door grills to
CCTV cameras)

Bed & bedroom:
Installing bed rails, to prevent falling from bed;
Supplying a set of products (like water mattresses) to prevent bed sores for
bedridden patients;
Providing memory foam pillows, ensuring relaxation of muscles and a better
sleep;
Installing an automatic sensor turning lights on when a person gets out of bed;
Fixing glowing tapes, marking passage ways and objects in the darkness, to
prevent collisions and falls.

Dining room
Special cutlery for Parkinson’s patients (such as a cup with two handles and a
food bumper for plates), making eating much easier.
Bathroom
Fitting anti-skid tiles and/or tapes
Finding a right shower chair, and/or fixing one to the wall.
Installing raised toilet seat, support rails, etc.
