Initially we were told that the problems were not with our equipment here in the parish but at the studio and that it was fixable. The problems persisted for some months and I am told that things are able to function again. Though we are pleased with that, I was also told that the costs of the broadcast were going to be adjusted. Each Sunday morning broadcast would be $100. Lately, under the former rates, a small number of businesses, the Knights of Columbus and a few parishioners have stepped up to take care of these costs. If the broadcast is to continue it will be important that we have a schedule of the donors for several months (up to a year) in advance. At this point the parish cannot afford to include this expenditure into the budget without the offset of the donation to take care of the cost. The parish will commit to take care of the cost through June 30. If we are not able to secure funds for six months to a year we will turn the broadcast hour back to the radio station. Those interested in helping with the cost of the broadcast may contact the Parish Office to schedule broadcast time in memory or honor of a family member, friend or simply themselves. Thanks for your understanding! Palm Sunday Breakfast March 25 - 10:00 - 11:00 am This is a delicious breakfast cooked by our Holy Rosary School PTO and is open to every- one to enjoy. The meal consists of an egg bake, fresh hot cinnamon rolls, fruit and beverage. A free will offering will be accepted with all proceeds going towards our School. You’re not going to want to miss this! NOTES FROM MONSIGNOR TIM: THE DIOCESAN ANNUAL APPEAL: Thus far $46,445 has been received in gifts and pledges toward our goal of $65,698. You may drop your donation in the collection basket or leave it as the parish office and we will see that it is sent on to the Diocese. Thanks to those who have made their donation to this year’s appeal. MINNESOTA FOOD SHARE CAMPAIGN MONTH: The month of March is here and time for the annual Minnesota Food Share Month. We have long supported the Becker County Food Pantry and especially during March. Cash contributions are preferable over product donations as they are able to purchase some items for as low as 14 cents a pound or receive a discount for buying in bulk. Donations can be left here at Holy Rosary or dropped off at the Food Pantry on Tuesday’s or Thursday’s anytime from 8:00 A.M. to 3:00 P.M. They would be glad to pick up donations – call 846-0142 and leave a message. Thanks for your support of our local food pantry! OUR EASTER CANDLE: We are beginning to receive your offerings for this year’s Easter Candle. If you wish to make an offering in honor or memory of loved one or friend you may use the form on the inside of today’s Parish Bulletin for the information. Place the offering and information in an envelope and place it in the collection basket or leave it at the parish office. We will acknowledge these gifts during the Easter Season. LENT IS WINDING DOWN TO HOLY WEEK AND EASTER. This Wednesday, following the 5:30 P.M. Mass our parishioners will be serving our final Soup Supper of the year. Come join us for that simple meal of soup and bread. Next Sunday is Palm Sunday and the beginning of Holy Week. We will be needing people (lectors, commentators, greeters, ushers, extra-ordinary Ministers of Holy Communion) for the various liturgical ministries of Holy Week and Easter. Beginning today sign-up sheets will be at the Lake Avenue entrance for the following celebrations: Holy Thursday of the Lord’s Supper at 7:00 P.M. Good Friday of the Passion of the Lord at 1:00 P.M. Holy Saturday’s Easter Vigil in the Holy Night at 8:00 P.M. Easter Sunday Masses: 9:00 and 11:00 A.M. Be watching your mail for your invitation to the annual Holy Thursday potluck dinner and the food details. It will be served in the Parish Center beginning at 5:00 P.M. The main dish this year will be lasagna. All are welcome! WE ARE GRATEFUL for our new lectors and Emmaus Ministers who joined us last week for training sessions for those ministries. If you missed those sessions, we will be scheduling them again in the future. Be watching the Parish Bulletin. A WORD OF THANKS: Some weeks ago Holy Rosary received a grant from Catholic United Financial to be used for a Smart TV to make online learning possible and more accessible. Our local Catholic Financial group further added to the grant. With the funds of both gifts we have been able to install two Smart TV’s with all of the wiring and support needed. This new equipment has been placed in Sts. Benedict and Scholastica Meeting Rooms for parish and school use. We sincerely thank the Catholic United Groups for this wonderful gift.

"I will be their God and

they shall be my people." -

Jeremiah 31:33

What does it mean to be

God's people? It means we

recognize that everything we

have and everything we are

belongs to God. We aren't

"owners" of anything, we are

merely "stewards" of the gifts

God has given us. It means

we are willing to use our

gifts and our lives to care for

our neighbors and the world,

just as God cares for us.

St. Monica’s Ministry is a prayerful & supportive ministry to both pray for loved ones that have fallen away from the Catholic Church and offer hope for the active Catholic. The 60 minute session includes voluntary sharing and prayer. The group meets on Thursday, March 22 at 7 pm in the Parish Living Room. For more information contact Deacon Gary Hager at 218-842-8267.

Monday, March 26, at 6:30 pm is the Chrism Mass at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception in Crookston. During this Mass, Bishop Hoeppner will bless the Oil of the Sick and the Oil of Baptism and consecrate the Sacred Chrism which we will use for each baptism, confirmation and Anointing of the Sick here in our parish for the next year. All are invited to attend.

Our volunteer for the poor and fire victims is in need of king size bed, full freezer, loveseat, kitchen table and chairs, tv and electric range. If you have one you wish to donate, drop off at the garage of 1231 Lincoln Avenue, DL.

The Frazee Knight’s of Columbus will have their last Lenten Fish Fry on Friday, March 23.

Proceeds go toward the restoration of stain glass windows at Sacred Heart. All are invited!

A ladies ring was found in the church after a weekend Mass. Please claim by identifying it at the Parish Office.

Ways to make Holy Week more meaningful THINK PRAYER. If you have to work or go to school during

Holy Week, think about how you can incorporate prayer breaks into each day.

MAKE AN ADDITIONAL SACRIFICE by fasting and abstain-ing from meat on Holy Thursday and Holy Saturday in addition to Good Friday.

DON'T WATCH TELEVISION from sundown on Holy Thurs-day until Easter morning.

SET ASIDE 10 minutes every day to read Passion accounts in the Gospels.

Make it a point to FORGIVE someone on Good Friday. PRAY the Sorrowful Mysteries of the Rosary. OFFER UP any pain or difficulties you experience during Holy

Week and unite your sufferings with the pain of Christ. PRAY the Stations of the Cross. ATTEND all of the Triduum liturgies. INVITE family members, friends and neighbors — especially

people who have strayed from the church — to come to

church with you.
