Archdiocese of Regina Lay Formation program Share the Joy of the Gospel! "I'm more conscious that God is around me all the time. To know that He is everywhere with every person has helped me to step out of my comfort zone. Everyone has their little quirks and I see those as gifts or their own personal freedom of being who they are." - Beckey Franke, St. John the

Baptist Parish, Estevan

One weekend a month from October to June, Catholics just like you are gathering in Regina as they become more deeply aware of God's personal

love and activity in their lives. Why not make their story, your story?

We are currently accepting applications for our Fall intake. For more information on how to register or our COVID-19 health and safety protocols, contact our Program Coordinator, Deacon Eric Gurash at 306-352-1651 ext

Parents of children in Grade 2 and up for the 2021/2022 school year you can now register your child for the sacraments of Confirmation, First Holy Communion, and First Reconciliation. Class dates and times are yet to be determined pending the COVID-19 situation under the Saskatchewan Reopen-ing Plan reaching Step 3, expected mid-July. The cost for registration is $50/child or $75/family. We accept cash, cheque or e-mail transfer. For children age 7 and older who have not yet been baptized, we will have classes for the children and parent(s) dates to be determined. Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA)

The RCIA is a process for adults seeking initiation into

the Catholic Church. Weekly gatherings consist of

prayer and sharing as we come to discover where God

is calling each individual. The process is open to:

• all those not baptized

• those baptized in another denomination now seek-ing to make a profession of faith in the Catholic Church and be confirmed and receive Holy Eucharist

• those baptized Catholics who have not completed their Christian Initiation (have not been Confirmed and/or have not received First Eucharist)

The RCIA journey involves the faith community as a

whole by deepening its own conversion to Christ and

by providing a prayerful example of Christian living for

those inquiring into the Catholic faith.

For more information or to register, please contact the parish office (306) 543-3838.

TF248: Teaching Math in a Catholic School with Dr. Andrew Seeley

and Thomas Quackenbush

We continue our Catholic Education series with a visit from Dr. Andrew Seeley and Thomas Quackenbush both from the Catholic Institute for Liber-

al Education, discussing teaching mathematics from a Catholic perspective.

Show Snippet: "The project has to do with the formation of persons. It's not about producing theologians or philosophers or scientists or mathemati-cians. You're forming souls, so what is the formative impact of studying

mathematics?"

MEMORARE TO ST. JOSEPH Remember, most pure spouse of Mary, ever Virgin, my loving protector, Saint Joseph, that no one ever had recourse to your protection or asked for your aid without obtaining relief. Confiding, therefore, in your goodness, I come before you and humbly implore you. Despise not my petitions, foster-father of the

Redeemer, but graciously receive them. Amen.
