Home monitoring

Our home monitoring solutions include:Telehealth solutions Philips Patient Telemonitoring Services (PTS) and Motiva, an interactive healthcare platform that promotes behavioural change using daily, personalized interactions and engaging content. This is delivered via a secure network connection straight to the patient’s home television set. These services offer patients a way to remain independent with the knowledge that they are connected to care when they need it. PTS allows patients to stay connected with their healthcare providers following hospital discharge (e.g., for short-term care and follow up), while Motiva is the ‘care’ bridge between the healthcare provider and chronically ill patients at home (e.g., for long-term care and follow up). Telemonitoring systems have proven to reduce costs, increase patient satisfaction, and improve survival rates. Philips believes that by combining evidence-based behavioral health strategies with a technology platform that automates disease management activities and telemonitoring of vital sign data, it is possible to provide cost-effective treatment to a spectrum of chronic care patients. Our aim is to leverage company-wide expertise in healthcare, lifestyle, and technology.

Attached our Motiva brochure. I would like to have either the picture on the first page with the man locking at the TV screen or on page 2/3 the picture of the lady and the TV screen. The Philips Medication Dispensing Service is a robust solution that can help reduce the risk of medication errors by providing the right dose of medicine at the right time. The Medication Dispenser can help those with complex medication schedules remain independent at home while providing caregivers with peace of mind knowing their loved ones are taking the right medication.

Remote cardiac services Philips Remote Cardiac Services provides a full line of remote cardiac monitoring services to more than 200,000 patients annually. Using “at-home” technology, 24-hours a day, 7-days a week, via telephone and Internet, the Company monitors patients with pacemakers, implanted defibrillators (ICDs), suspected arrhythmia, and other cardiac-related conditions.

The INR@Home monitoring service assists long-term warfarin patients to self-test weekly, helping to reduce the possibility of anticoagulation-related complications.

Trilogy family life support ventilators and other BiPAP ventilators offer a wide range of ventilatory solutions to meet the needs of different patient conditions. From obstructive to restrictive respiratory insufficiency, treatments are available for both adult and pediatric patients.

Home Respiratory Care

The Everflo and Evergo concentrators provide patients with stationary and ambulatory oxygen therapy. By offering treatment at home and on the go, these two systems allow further patient freedom when undergoing their oxygen therapy.

Philips Respironics is continuously expanding the solutions to patients suffering from chronic respiratory conditions. With a broad range of products and software, Home Respiratory Care offers an array of solutions to help clinicians manage respiratory diseases in transitional care or home environments.

Data management is critical in ensuring effective titration in hospital and assessing long-term therapy efficacy at home. Philips Respironics offers dedicated software (DirectView and Encore Pro) as well as direct connection of the therapy device with polysomnograph systems (Alice and Alice PDx) for intricate assessment of a patient’s ventilation therapy.

CoughAssist mechanical in-exsuflator is a noninvasive therapy that safely and consistently removes secretions in adult and pediatric patients who suffer from an ineffective ability to cough. Together with CoughAssist, Trilogy offers a complete solution to optimize respiratory management of the neuromuscular disease patients.

Increasing numbers of patients suffer from chronic respiratory conditions, such as asthma, COPD and Cystic Fibrosis (CF), which all require regular delivery of prescribed medication. Products within our Respiratory Drug Delivery (RDD) range supply patients, providers and pharmaceutical companies with solutions that help manage these conditions and optimize delivery of the prescribed medication. Our products range from spacer devices used with commonly prescribed metered dose inhalers (MDIs), general purpose nebulizer compressor systems used to deliver aerosol therapy, and peak flow meters that aid asthma control monitoring.

Respiratory Drug Delivery

Additionally, we’ve developed an innovative inhalation delivery technology – Adaptive Aerosol Delivery (AAD). AAD ensures that the right amount of medication is delivered to the patient by adapting to their specific breathing pattern during treatment. This delivery approach is currently used in managing delivery of aerosol therapy for patients with Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension and CF.

RDD also assists pharmaceutical companies in the development of aerosol delivery technologies for both respiratory and non-respiratory conditions. This allows testing resources that help validate promising aerosol therapies and support approval. RDD will continue to extend the capabilities of aerosol drug delivery, so patients, providers, and payers can truly utilize the benefits that modern drug delivery can offer.
