The Alice PDx portable diagnostic recording device

is intended for OSA screening, follow-up and

Medical alert services and medication dispensing service –

Philips Lifeline is the leading medical alert service provider

in North America. Since 1974, Lifeline has been committed

to helping seniors live more independently and with

greater peace of mind in their own homes. More than

700,000 subscribers rely on the Lifeline Service to provide

them with quick access to help, 24-hours a day, 365-days a

year.The Philips Medication Dispensing Service is a robust

solution that can help reduce the risk of medication

errors by providing the right dose of medicine at the

right time.The Medication Dispenser can help those with

complex medication schedules remain independent at

home while providing caregivers with peace of mind

knowing their loved ones are taking the right medication.

Remote cardiac services – Philips Remote Cardiac

Services provides a full line of remote cardiac monitoring

services to more than 200,000 patients annually. Using

“at-home” technology, 24-hours a day, 7-days a week, via

telephone and Internet, the Company monitors patients

with pacemakers, implanted defibrillators (ICDs),

suspected arrhythmia and other cardiac-related conditions.

The INR@Home monitoring service assists long-term

warfarin patients to self-test weekly, helping to

reduce the possibility of anticoagulation-

related complications.

The Philips DigiTrak XT is

the size of a pager and

weighs just 2.2 ounces for

comfort and convenience.

Philips Lifeline’s Communicators and Help Buttons

provide access to help 24/7.


Telehealth solutions – Philips Patient Telemonitoring

Services (PTS) and Motiva, an interactive healthcare

platform using broadband television, provide the ability

to monitor patient health at home.These services offer

patients a way to remain independent with the knowledge

that they are connected to care when they need it.

PTS allows patients to stay connected with their

healthcare providers following hospital discharge

(e.g., for short-term care and follow up), while Motiva is

the ‘care’ bridge between the healthcare provider and

chronically ill patients at home (e.g., for long-term care

and follow up). Leveraging these systems, clinicians or

home health agency staff can be notified if a patient may

require their intervention – enabling homecare agencies

to focus their resources on improving outcomes.

Trilogy100 is a highly versatile, lightweight life-support ventilator

that has been developed to meet the needs of a wide range of

patients in the home and alternative care settings. Its small size,

uncomplicated interface, and power-management options make

Trilogy100 easy to use, portable, and versatile.

Our Home Respiratory Care business is continuously expanding the Company’s

solutions for patients who suffer from chronic respiratory diseases.With a

broad range of ambulatory oxygen and high-performance ventilation products,

Home Respiratory Care offers an array of solutions to help clinicians manage

respiratory diseases in transitional care or home environments.

The EverGo portable oxygen concentrator from Philips

Respironics is the oxygen therapy solution that lets active

patients do the things they want – without worrying about

running out of oxygen. Its eight-hour battery life, lightweight

design, and easy-to-use touch screen means patients can finally

be active all day, and helps homecare providers control costs

by eliminating the expense of oxygen delivery.

CoughAssist is a noninvasive therapy that safely and consistently

removes secretions in adult and pediatric patients with an

ineffective ability to cough. CoughAssist clears secretions by

gradually applying a positive pressure to the airway, then rapidly

shifting to negative pressure, simulating a natural cough.


Addressing the needs of patients, providers and pharmaceutical companies,

Respiratory Drug Delivery (RDD) provides products and support that enable

a variety of treatments via the respiratory system. RDD participates in the

nebulizer and MDI spacer-device segments of the respiratory drug delivery

market to aid with the treatment of Asthma, Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary

Disease (COPD) and Cystic Fibrosis (CF).

Respiratory Drug Delivery

Additionally, using Adaptive Aerosol Delivery (AAD)

inhalation technology, we participate in the “drug-specific”

segment of the respiratory market.AAD technology

delivers the right amount of medication to the patient

regardless of size or breathing patterns, and monitors the

patient’s breathing throughout treatment. This approach is

unique in managing inhalation therapy for patients with

Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension and CF.

RDD also assists pharmaceutical companies to develop

new aerosol formulations for both respiratory and non-

respiratory conditions; we provide testing resources and

conduct clinical trials to help validate and secure approval

for promising aerosol therapies. RDD will continue to

extend the capabilities of the aerosol drug delivery

business so patients, providers and payers can realize the

benefits that modern drug delivery to the respiratory

pathway may offer.

fits in the palm of your hand, delivers treatments in as little as

eight minutes and nebulizes the same medications as larger

compressor systems.

SideStream reusable and disposable nebulizers

can be used with most commonly prescribed
