Grigori RasputinA Russian mystic and self-proclaimed holy man who befriended the family of Emperor Nicholas II, the last monarch of Russia, and gained considerable influence in late imperial Russia. Rasputin was killed on December 30, 1916.

Archduke Franz FerdinandThe heir to the throne of Austria-Hungary. Franz Ferdinand's assassination on June 28, 1914, at the hand of a Serbian terrorist group the "Black Hand," led to the beginning of World War I.

John F KennedyAn American politician who served as president of the United States from January 1961 until his assassination in November 1963. The Warren Commission blamed Lee Harvey Oswald but evidence has later shown it could have been the Government conspiracy, a Communist plot or a Mafia linked murder.

John LennonAn English singer, songwriter and peace activist who gained worldwide fame as the founder, co-lead vocalist, and rhythm guitarist of the Beatles. On the evening of 8 December 1980, English musician John Lennon was fatally shot in the archway by fan Mark David Chapman.

Malala YousafzaiA Pakistani activist for female education and the youngest Nobel Prize laureate. On 9 October 2012 Yousafzai and two other girls were shot by a Taliban gunman in an assassination attempt in retaliation for her activism.

The Cuban Missile Crisis, also known as the October Crisis of 1962, was a 13-day confrontation between the United States and the Soviet Union initiated by the American discovery of Soviet ballistic missile deployment in Cuba

The Berlin Wall was a guarded concrete barrier that physically and ideologically divided Berlin from 1961 to 1991. Construction of the Wall was commenced by the German Democratic Republic on 13 August 1961. The Wall cut off West Berlin from surrounding East Germany, including East Berlin.

Launched by the then Minister of Health in Attlee's post-war government, Aneurin Bevan.he creation of the NHS in 1948 was the product of years of hard work and a motivation from various figures who felt the current healthcare system was insufficient and needed to be developed.
