RECIPE

Seedsational Nutrition!ACTIVITY

Pumpkin Pie Pumpkin Seeds:Ingredients: 1 Medium Baking Pumpkin 4 Tbsp Cinnamon 4 tsp Nutmeg 4 tsp Ground Ginger 3 tsp Allspice Cut the top off the pumpkin and scoop seeds out of the center with a spoon. Separate seeds from stringy flesh.

Rinse the seeds and boil in salt water for 10 minutes. Drain and pat dry Spread in a single layer on a cookie sheet, drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle spice mixture lightly on top

Bake at 325o F for 25-30 minutes, or until crispy

If you used different kinds of seeds, make sure to label the jar on the outside so you can keep track

Keep the paper towels moist (but not soaking) for the next week or so. Make sure to check the jar every day to see what the seeds are up to!
