Home school learning pack for week beginning 22/6/20 Dear Yellow class, Hello everyone! I hope you’re all well and staying safe. Here is your home learning pack for this week. As part of our home learning this week, we are planning to link up with the Youth Sports Trust and encourage everyone to take part in National School Sport Week at Home. We hope that this will provide you with the chance to capture some of the enjoyment and competition they have been missing during weeks of school closure and social distancing. In each class file on the school website, you will find two resources: a ‘Parent’s Guide’ and an ‘Activities Pack’ with lots of ideas on the different type of things your children could do throughout the week. They may choose to do the same thing every day or try a different activity each day; the choice is theirs. We would also love to see and share with others some of the sporting achievements and activities completed, so it would be great if you could send one of an activity they have enjoyed with a little comment to: [email protected] Please only do this if you are happy for us to share this on our website. You will see from this week’s planning that we have reduced the number of afternoon activities in order to free up time for children to have a go at this. I really hope they take this opportunity to engage with a National Initiative and have some great fun whilst getting fitter and possibly even learning a new sporting skill! Keep trying your best and have a great week! Miss Mather

Dear Yellow class,

Hello everyone!

This week we are going to focusing our English lessons on sports. Today I would like you to read the two sheets about Sports Day and answer the questions about the texts. Choose a sports star. This could be a footballer, an athlete or you could even choose a sports team and find out lots of interesting facts. You can use books or do some research on the internet. Make sure an adult helps you use the internet so you stay safe online. Start writing all of the facts that you have found out. Use headings to help you write about the star/sport you have chosen. These headings could be Sport Played, Team, Medals, Fun Facts. Draw a picture of your star or use a photograph if you can.
