This Software Change Notice contains important information that must be read prior to
installing and working with Honeywell Connected Plant Video Assist. It also contains
known issues, documentation updates, and additional information.

1.2 Introduction Honeywell Connected Plant – Video Assist is an easy-to-use android application to
capture, publish, and share videos which is compatible to view in the Intelligent Wearables
device. Video Assist is your Augmented Reality- visual media environment for industrial or
plant specific videos.
Video Assist is a procedure creation and video tutorial solution enabling on-demand
access to customer-site-specific training procedures on and off the field. The procedures
are created by plant experts /seniors. It ensures quick and accurate issue resolution at
plant and saves travel cost and time. The video library acts as a visual aid on how to
perform any complex procedure in the plant without having to memorize the whole
procedure.

2 New Features
Honeywell Connected Plant – Video Assist offers the following features across the
releases.
2.1 New Features in R110.1 Following are features available in Video Assist R110.1:
Easier Password Management - Video Assist portal is integrated with Microsoft
Login function for user to personalize the system assigned password. Enhanced
create procedure process – Simplified process to capture procedure, eliminating
the need to dictate title for each step. Easy to edit all the procedure properties via
portal. For more information about enhancement in Intelligent Wearable camera
functions, see My Camera Features.
Instant Step Video Edit - Provision to Preview each step video instantly after
capturing the step. Based on the preview, you can decide to either save or discard
the step in the procedure.
Procedure Draft Management – Two new variations of drafts: Online Drafts and
Local Drafts are introduced in the Video Assist applications to store procedures at
various stages. You can opt to save draft at the end of capturing all the steps. Save
draft procedures will be listed under Local Drafts that are accessible only via
application. You can opt to upload the procedure at the end of capturing. Uploaded
procedure will be listed under Online Drafts that are accessible via both application
and portal.
Noise Reduction – Enables you to reduce the constant background noise such as
humming or hissing.
Voice Over – Enables you to override recorded audio with new audio track.
Select Video Speed – Enables you to play step video in different speed.
New Publish Mechanism – Publish provides you the flexibility to edit both saved
and uploaded procedures before making it visible for other users.
Edit Published Procedure and Steps – Provision to move the published procedure
to draft and edit in case the procedure needs further modification.
Text Based Search - Basic text based search that enables you to search for a
procedure both Online procedures and Offline (downloaded) procedures.
New Android Version Support - Video Assist application is compatible and
qualified to use with latest Intelligent Wearable Release 10 with Android 8.
Performance Enhancement - Step video upload speed is improved to 20-30
seconds for a one (1) minutes video.

2.2 Key Features in R100.1 Following are features available in Video Assist R100.1:
Create procedures – A procedure is a playlist that contains either single or multiple
steps arranged in specific order to aid performing a task. Capture individual steps
to create logical flow for the task.
Add multiple steps to the procedure – You can add multiple steps to a single
procedure.
Upload the new procedure – Newly created procedure must be uploaded for other
users to view or download.
Edit procedure properties – Edit the properties of specific procedure such as title,
description, and key words.
Delete procedures – Delete an uploaded procedure.
Stream the procedure online – View the procedure directly from the cloud while
connected to internet (online) via streaming.
Download and view the procedure offline – Specific procedure must be
downloaded to the Intelligent Wearable when online to view when disconnected
from internet (offline).

3 Upgrading to Video Assist Application R110.1
You will receive a notification whenever a new version of Video Assist application is
available for download on the Intelligent Wearable. If you have set to automatically update
application when latest version is available, then application is updated without any
intervention.
Remember in this case you may lose the procedures saved as drafts.
If you have disabled automatic app update, then prior to update you must upload all the
procedures that are saved as drafts.
3.1 Updating to latest version: 1. You will receive a notification informing the availability of latest version of Video
Assist.
2. Upload all the procedures that are saved as drafts.
3. You can opt to update immediately on receiving the notification. Say OK.
4. You can opt to update later in time. Say Remind Me Later.

4 Known Issues
4.1 Known Issues in R110.1
Issue No. Issue - Description/Recovery/Workaround
1. RREALWEAR-960 Error: Add Title dialog box and commands (Enter Text, Save and Upload,
or Close) in the dialog are not responsive and the application shows
numbered bubbles for the behind screen.
Description: Using Intelligent Wearable with Android 8.1 Operating
System, you have captured a step video for a procedure and opted to
upload. The Add Title dialog box and the commands are non-responsive
in following two scenarios:
1. When you close the keyboard after entering the title manually or
accidentally.
2. In few devices, virtual keyboard is hidden by default.
Workaround: When the focus in not on Enter Text pop-up, say Show
Notification and Hide Notification. Then utter any of the commands
Enter Text, Save and Upload, or Close; you will be able to perform the
actions.
2. RREALWEAR-829 Error: On the portal thumbnail is missing for procedure that contains
step with encoding error.
Description: If steps are in fix state for a procedure due to encoding
error, then the thumbnail is not displayed for the specific procedure.
Workaround: None.
3. RREALWEAR-803 Error: No command option to close the sub-menu of Show Drafts.
Workaround: None.

Error: On the Homepage when Show Drafts command is active, then no
other commands are responsive.
Workaround: None.
6. RREALWEAR-790 Error: Step titles modified on the portal are not visible when Online Draft
procedures are edited using the application.
Workaround: None.
7. RREALWEAR-763 Error: A blank procedure is created even when Save Draft or Upload is
selected.
Description: While creating a new procedure if you use Homepage
command either before or after saving the captured step, then a blank
procedure is listed in the Local Drafts.
Workaround: None.
8. RREALWEAR-800 Error: On migration, no serial number is assigned for the step title, Edit
Video, Discard.
Description: Migrating from R100.1 to R110.1 – procedures that were
created using R100.1 and saved as draft. On migration, no serial number
is assigned for the step title, Edit Video, Discard.
Workaround: Upload the draft version of procedures before migrating to
R110.1.
9. RREALWEAR-738 Error: Noise cancellation cannot be performed for a step video length
greater than four (4) minutes.
Workaround: Opt to perform noise cancellation on videos of shorter
duration.

10. RREALWEAR-759 Error: No Storage message appears while capturing the step even when
sufficient space is available.
Description: After capturing each step video, a message stating No
Storage Left appears even though sufficient space is available.
Workaround: None.
11. RREALWEAR-736 Error: Procedure owner information is not updated if the published
procedure is edited and published.
Description:
Scenario 1: Field Expert 1 creates and publishes a procedure. Field
Expert 2 moves the published procedure to draft and edits the
procedure before republishing.
Scenario 2: Administrator 1 moves published procedure to drafts that
was previously published by Administrator 2 or Field Expert 1.
In both scenarios, other users edit the procedure before republishing the
procedure. However, procedure owner is not updated to Field Expert 2 or
Administrator 1.
Workaround: None.
12. RREALWEAR-740 Error: No option to search procedures in draft stage either in Video
Assist portal or application.
Workaround: None.

4.2 Known Issues in R100.1 This section provides list of known issues applicable for lessons.

13. RREALWEAR-236 Error: Replay option in Manual mode plays next step instead of same
step.
Description: On choosing to play the procedure in Manual mode and
end of specific step replay does not repeat the step instead skips to
play the next step in the procedure.
Workaround: None.
14. RREALWEAR-333 Description: User is not auto-logged out after long idle hour from the
Video Assist portal.
Workaround: Manually log out.
RREALWEAR-335 Error: Title for the currently playing step is not displayed in the full-
screen mode.
Workaround: None.
RREALWEAR-336 Error: Invalid media file error message when invalid media file is
uploaded in the Video Assist portal.
Description: In case invalid media file with extension of MP4 format,
the file is not uploaded but no failure message is displayed.
Workaround: None.
15. RREALWEAR-351 Error: No failure message when admin user attempts to delete self.
Description: When Admin user attempts to delete self, no error or
failure message is displayed. Admin has no privilege to delete self,
however admin can delete other users.
Workaround: None.
16. RREALWEAR-355 Error: Search result page does contain Show Menu or Homepage
option for alternate navigation.
Workaround: None.
17. RREALWEAR-369 Error: Option selected for quality of the video does not match when
streaming the video.
Workaround: None.
18. RREALWEAR-398 Error: Scroll bar is not enabled when the number of video exceeds the
display area.
Workaround: None.

21. RREALWEAR-350 Error: Change password is not available.
Workaround: You can change password as follows:
1. Launch https://login.microsoftonline.com site.
2. Under Apps, select Outlook option.
3. Login using your Video Assist credentials.
4. Click your detail displayed on top-right corner of the window and
select My account.
5. From the left pane, select Security & privacy.
6. Update your password by entering and confirming the new password.
7. Remember to login with new password in both the Video Assist portal
and the application on the device.
22. RREALWEAR-402 Error: Whenever there is breakage in internet connection and on
reconnecting to internet, there is lag in updating status for the
following scenarios:
Show Menu still display Offline options or displays Online menu
options partially.
Homepage displays the steps as draft whereas the procedure is
successfully uploaded to cloud.
Workaround: None.
23. RREALWEAR-403 Error: No pagination on Search result.
Workaround: None.
