The Horasis Global Meeting aims to be the world’s foremost annual gathe -ring of business leaders who interact with heads of governments and keyministers as well as Nobel laureates and other thought leaders. The meeting’spurpose is to advance solutions to the most critical challenges facingcorporations today. Participants share a common interest in mapping ourglobal economies.

Dear Participant,
I am delighted to welcome you all to Liverpool to attend the Horasis GlobalMeeting 2016, which the city is hosting as part of the UK’s InternationalFestival for Business 2016 (IFB2016).
IFB2016 is the largest global concentration of business events held in theworld this year, and to have the Global Meeting taking place in Liverpool, as part of the Festival, presents a rare but fitting opportunity for us all to bepart of this once in-a-generation business and cultural experience.
Liverpool is proud to hold the inaugural Horasis Global Meeting and underthe theme ‘Visions for Tomorrow – from Uncertainty to Confidence’ the city provides a fitting host. Following a period of strong renaissance in thetwo decades to the 2008 global financial crisis, Liverpool is successfullyrestruc tu ring its economy to adapt to the new economic challenges and build confidence in the city.
As such, Liverpool provides an example of the debate that will be takingplace within the Global Meeting. I welcome the opportunity to participatewithin a wider, global debate, on the future opportunities and challenges and contributing towards identifying solutions.
