RULES & CONDITIONS OF ENTRY IN HORSE EVENTS In the event of Show cancellation fees will be refunded less 10% to cover administration costs.

beslaughteredalleffortswillbemadetocontacttheanimal’sownerforconsenttoslaughter.Iftheownercannotbefoundwithinareasonableperiodoftime,apoliceofficerwillbeaskedtoprovideawrittenauthoritytotheslaughteroftheanimalasempoweredunderSection11oftheProtectionofAnimalsAct1911.
25. Vaccination:ItisrequiredthatallhorsesandponiesenteringtheShowgroundarevaccinatedandtheexhibitormustbeabletoproduceavaccinationcertificate,whichundeniablyrelatestothatanimal,completed,signedandstampedbyaveterinarysurgeon,whoisnottheowneroftheanimal,statingthatithasreceivedtwoinjectionsforprimaryvaccinationagainstEquineInfluenzagivennotlessthan21daysandnomorethan92daysapart.Inadditionaboosterinjectionmustberecordedashavingbeengivenwithineachsucceedingtwelvemonths.Noneoftheseinjectionsmusthavebeengivenwithintheprecedingsevendays,includingthedayoftheShow.Thisvaccinationcertificatemustaccompanythehorse/ponytotheShow.Spotcheckswillbecarriedout.
26. Allhorsesmustcomplywithcurrentlegislation.TherewillberandomchecksduringtheShowdayandHorsePass-portsmaybechecked.
27. Onceaclasshasstartedexhibitorswillonlybepermittedtoenterthejudgingringwiththeexpresspermissionofthejudge.

Held under the rules of the British Show Horse Association. Horses must be registered with the Association and all owners, exhibitors and riders must be Association members. Riders to have attained their 15th birthday. Registration numbers must be quoted on entry form.
Classes 150, 151 & 152 are qualifiers for THE ROYAL INTERNATIONAL HORSE SHOW 2018. The first prize winner will qualify to compete at the final. If already qualified the second will qualify, if the first and second are already qualified then the third will go forward.
Horses competing at the RIHS and qualifying shows in Hunter sections of The Sport Horse Breeding of Great Britain at their Affiliated Shows cannot compete in Hack, Cobs and Riding Horse classes at the same show, on the same day and vice versa. This does not apply to SHB (GB) Ridden Sport Horse classes.
The three highest placed prize winners in all Open affiliated classes will qualify to compete in the BSHA Classic Supreme Classes at the National Championship Show 2018.
The BSHA offer a Novice, Young Rider and Amateur rosette in each Open class and a Champion rosette for each section (with the exception of Open Working Show Horse, Ladies Show Horse & HOYS Hunter classes).
The Association will award an Amateur Home Produced rosette in all Affiliated Open Cob (Light and Heavy weight only) classes. These rosettes have been kindly sponsored by TSG, Mr L Turley. The awards will go down the line; there is no limit on how many of these rosettes can be claimed in a year.

This is a qualifying show for the ROYAL INTERNATIONAL HORSE SHOW 2018. The two highest placed horses in the Lightweight, Middleweight and Heavyweight Hunter Classes will qualify to enter at the RIHS. No horse lower than second will qualify. All regulations applicable to HOYS qualifiers will apply also to RIHS qualifiers.
All entries in Classes 153 -156 & 162 must be on Sport Horse Breeding of Great Britain 2018 Show Hunter Register. (Registration Numbers to be shown on Entry Forms and owners and riders must be full members of Sport Horse Breeding of Great Britain).
Day ticket = £35 (this entitles competitors to compete at a maximum of 2 show’s in the year – it covers owner and rider membership together with horse registration for that show). If the class is a qualifying class for RIHS, in order for the qualification to be valid, application for full owner/rider membership and horse registration must be received in the SHB(GB) office within 14 days.
Judged under the 2018 Sport Horse Breeding of Great Britain Rules.
Classes 154-156 will qualify for The PONIES (UK) WHITTAKERS LORD OPEN HUNTER of the YEAR, provided the riders have attained their 16th birthday by 1st January in the current year.
The two highest placed exhibits not already qualified in classes 154-156 will qualify for the Equifest Ridden Hunter Final to be held at the East of England Showground on the 8th-12th August 2018.
This show is a qualifier for the Blue Chip & Irish Draught Horse Society (GB) £2,000 Challenge. The highest placed horse (not already qualified) from each of the following Classes 153 to 156 that is registered or eligible for registration on the Irish Draught or Irish Draught Sport Horse Register, i.e. with a minimum of 25% proven Irish Draught breeding, will qualify for the Final of the Blue Chip & IDHS (GB) £2,000 Challenge. Horses need not be registered with the Irish Draught Horse Society (GB) to qualify but must be on the IDHS (GB) Registers by the time of the Championship which will be held at the IDHS (GB) Annual Breed Show onon 18th – 19th August 2018 at Arena UK, Allington, Grantham, Lincolnshire. NG32 2EF. N.B: A horse may only qualify for the Final once, regardless of the type or number of classes won, placed in or entered. Each qualifier will receive a card and a £10 voucher from Blue Chip. Will immediately follow the Qualifiers are required to complete an online form at www.idhsgb.com to inform the IDHS (GB) that they are qualified for the Final. Following submission of the online form, a qualifier’s pack will be sent out direct to the qualifier. In the Final, the Champion will be awarded £1,000 prize money, a trophy and a Blue Chip rug. The Reserve Champion will be awarded £500 and 3rd to 7th inclusive will be awarded £100 each. In addition, the highest placed Pure Bred Irish Draught will receive a trophy and £100, the highest placed 158cm (15.2hh) and under will receive a trophy and £50, the highest placed Irish Draught Sport Horse will receive a trophy and £50 and the highest placed *Amateur Produced and Ridden Horse will receive a silver salver and a rug.

All horses and ponies must be four years old or over. The Judge will have the power to transfer an entry which in her opinion is entered in the wrong height section. Hackney show wagons and commercial vehicles are not acceptable. Exercise vehicles and pneumatic tyres are acceptable. A brief description of the vehicle to be included with the entry form. £20 travelling expenses will be awarded to each exhibitor.
Classes 157 and 158 are a qualifier for the 2018 Osborne Refrigerators BDS National Championships at Driving Addington on 22nd September 2018. The sole criterion for this class is the elegance of the picture presented by horse/pony and rider, and the way of going of the horse/pony. Safe tack must be used. Detailed inspection of the rider’s period costume is not required. Fancy dress is not permitted. Competitors are required to walk, trot and canter. No individual show is required, but the judge may ask small groups of 3 or 4 riders to give short displays.
Two Special rosettes to the highest placed Adult and Junior Members of the S.S.A. carrying their current Championship Points Card. Competitors should produce a brief resume about their costumes for the Commentator. Juniors must wear hats to current British Safety standards or above for this class. Adult riders not wearing such hats do so at their own risk.
In addition to the placing rosettes all competitors will be awarded a Heathfield & District Agricultural Show Special Rosette.

OPTION 1, an Open Class, open to Adults and Juniors. If entries warrant, an Open Class may be divided into an Adult and a Junior Class at the discretion of the Show. S.S.A. Rosettes and Qualifying Points shall be awarded to Adults & Juniors as 2 sections: the highest placed Adult & Junior Members will receive S.S.A. rosettes to 3rd place, and Qualifying Points down each line. The highest placed Member under 14 on 1st January of the current year will receive a rosette.
Side Saddle International offer a rosette to the Adult Member and Manor Grange Stud Show Centre to the Junior Member, judged to be the best turned out. Southernden Farm offers a rosette to the highest placed Member under the age of 14 on 1st January of the current year.

RIDING HORSESJudge – Mrs R Mills, Rochford, Essex
Held under the rules of the British Show Horse Association. Horses must be registered with the Association and all Owners, Exhibitors and Riders must be Association Members. Riders must be 15 years of age or older. Registration numbers must be quoted on the entry form.
Classes 182 & 183 are qualifiers for The Royal International Horse Show. The first prize winner will qualify to compete at the final. If already qualified the second will qualify, if the first and second are already qualified then the third will go forward.
Horses competing at the RIHS and qualifying shows in the Hunter section of The Sport Horse Breeding of Great Britain at their affiliated shows cannot compete in Hack, Cobs or Riding Horse classes at the same show on the same day and vice versa. This does not apply to SHB (GB) Ridden Sport Horse classes.
The three highest placed prize winners in all Open Affiliated classes will qualify to compete in the BSHA Classic Supreme Classes at the National Championship Show September 2018.
The BSHA offer a Novice, Young Rider and Amateur rosette in each Open class and a Champion rosette for each section. This show is a qualifier for the Blue Chip & Irish Draught Horse Society (GB) £2,000 Challenge. The highest placed horse (not already qualified) from each of the following Classes 153 to 156 that is registered or eligible for registration on the Irish Draught or Irish Draught Sport Horse Register, i.e. with a minimum of 25% proven Irish Draught breeding, will qualify for the Final of the Blue Chip & IDHS (GB) £2,000 Challenge. Horses need not be registered with the Irish Draught Horse Society (GB) to qualify but must be on the IDHS (GB) Registers by the time of the Championship which will be held at the IDHS (GB) Annual Breed Show on 18th – 19th August 2018 at Arena UK, Allington, Grantham Lincolnshire NG32 2EF. N.B: A horse may only qualify for the Final once, regardless of the type or number of classes won, placed in or entered. Each qualifier will receive a card and a £10 voucher from Blue Chip. Qualifiers are required to complete an online form at www.idhsgb.com to inform the IDHS (GB) that they are qualified for the Final. Following submission of the online form, a qualifier’s pack will be sent out direct to the qualifier. In the Final, the Champion will be awarded £1,000 prize money, a trophy and a Blue Chip rug. The Reserve Champion will be awarded £500 and 3rd to 7th inclusive will be awarded £100 each. In addition, the highest placed Pure Bred Irish Draught will receive a trophy and £100, the highest placed 158cm (15.2hh) and under will receive a trophy and £50, the highest placed Irish Draught Sport Horse will receive a trophy and £50 and the highest placed *Amateur Produced and Ridden Horse will receive a silver salver and a rug.
Classes 182 and 183 qualify for the P(UK) HAZELDEN ROSETTES Riding Horse class at Ponies UK Summer Championships, as long as riders have attained their 15th birthday by 1st January 2018.
The two highest placed exhibits not already qualified will qualify for the Equifest Final to be held at the East of England Showground on the 8th-12th August 2018.
