Formed by four members, once more went extra mile to HCM in Mozambique, Benignos Moises; Arsenio Guanbe; Luis Honwana and I Samuel Julião, were the perfect team where each one took the work according to what does best. We started by presenting our books fruits and biscuits to the doctor and to the nurses.
Working together our aim was to share God’s love and word of comfort and salvation, in one side juggling and distributing balloons Benignos was the team clown, Arsenio was our team fruits and biscuits distributer and organizer, Luis was our team photographer and I was ahead of making the balloons and word distribution as well as in prayer at Orthopedic and Doencas Gerais departments, where in total we visited 100 patients.
Our main poster distribution was the color of love, and together with the Activated Magazine and a booklet about Creation vs. Evolution, hearts were touched, especially ours. “You are needed here, this is the right place for you to come” said one of the nurses happy to see the unexplainable change of joy in peoples faces and reaction to our presence. “God bless you” words from many people to us, but it was felt in a very special way from a grand mother who repeatedly said so after we prayed for her grandson who have had an operation, as she said taking to heart our words when we said that our physical gift was nothing compared to the spiritual one, because Gods love is what truly last for ever, food to the soul.
At the end of this visit we all had something to
share, for it was as instead blessing those we went
to visit, it was them blessing us. There is no word
that we can say to describe the emotion that
overwhelmed us by seeing a smile in those kids
together with their parents, I almost fell into tears
as I could see how much people crave for healing
in their souls, it was so amazing to see the parents
reading the message we had to share right away.
Being curious as I m, I remember asking a nurse a
question about a picture in the wall and she could
not answer me because her attention was all into
the color of love, where after she finished reading
apologized saying that she just could not stop
reading as that message was what she needed as
well as she believed that it would change many
other lives.
And on our way out gathering for a final prayer,
we met with a dear friend Alice Fumo, whom said
as we did no see her, so did she, but the Activated
Box with the Activated Magazine (Contato in
Portuguese) had caught her attention as she
thought there is only one team that can be around
with these magazines and when she took a clear
and close look there we were, what a great laugh
we had, and after long time of seeing each others.
In this visit we distributed 20 Activated Magazines,
130 Poster the Color of Love, we prayed with
almost everyone, and we also received 10 prayer
requests.
