4pm OPENING: KATE MEEHAN & SKIP LANDY If one could try and take something really positive from the current pandemic, maybe it could be that Kate Meehan and Skip Landy have returned to performing live again after a ten year hiatus. Kate belts out classic Chicago blues songs in her own raunchy style - a large chunk of her repertoire is a tribute to her idol, the legendary Koko Taylor. But rather than trying to find a dedicated rhythm section prepared to travel and rehearse, Kate utilises the services of Skip, her mild mannered live-in piano player who can emulate the propulsive drive of the boogie. 5.30pm BILLY WHITTON & THE MEN OF STEEL Billy Whitton has been gigging around Hobart at various venues, having a long-standing residency at the New Sydney Hotel. Billy's laid back vocals and eclectic guitar styling's are here complimented by the excellent musicians – Randal Muir on keys, and Henry Nichols on drums – to produce The Men of Steel.

7pm TERRAPLANE

Pat Tilley (vocals, harmonica and guitar) and Michael Davie (lead guitar), have been playing together as TERRAPLANE since 1992 and are now teamed up with John Young (bass) and John Barnes (drums). They play (mostly) blues influenced by the styles of Paul Butterfield and Paul DeLay, although they occasionally stray into jazz and ballad styles. Their music includes original songs and covers of a wide variety of blues from the classics of Little Walter and Sonny Boy Williamson to the more modern treatments of Jason Ricci. 8.30pm THE PATRON SAINTS The Patron Saints bring the golden age of 50s Chicago blues to the deep south of Tasmania. Their blues have a hard edge for the bad times and a foot-tapping swing for the good times. From 40s swing to 60s south-side boogie, it’s all for dancing and for letting your hair down. The Patron Saints are Dave Hall (blues harp and vocals), Pete Shegog (guitar), Rob Moore (fretless bass) and Lino Totaro (drums).
