FAQ for interview:

1) How I`ll get my VISA?

Tourist Visa on arrival for 3 months for every country. For 3 months it`s cost 100 dollars (you can take for less than 3 month

and will pay less). For SARC countries VISA on arrival (first month for free). Please, change your currency to dollars (only

dollars accepted) – can be done in airport, and please, bring your passport size pictures for VISA – can be done in airport.

2) What is project Fee?

Project fee is fee for administrative cost which AIESEC in Nepal charges from all Exchange Participants. According to

current Financial Model of organisation, Project Fee is compulsory for each EP and should be taken on a first day after

arrival.

3) Where I`ll live? Do I need to pay for accommodation?

No, you don`t need to pay. Accommodation provided. Accommodation can be - Interns house, host family or hostel,

depends of project. Please, bring your own bed sheet.

4) My project is out the valley. How I`ll reach there?

AIESEC supports intern to reach final destination. You need to pay by your own for travelling in Nepal. It`s cheap

5) Do I need to get ready for my project?

Yes, you need to prepare at least first 2 lessons (about yourself, or about your country), if it`s teaching. If it`s non-education

project, we will help you to get in touch with TN taker for further steps. We are expecting from each EP to create video-

photo- report about project. Report needs to be submitted at least 3 days before departure to EP manager.

6) What do I need to bring to Nepal?

Please, bring your pictures (passport size) – at least 5 – for getting SIM card and VISA. Bring your country flag and

traditional souvenirs for Global Village. Bring your own laptop for your project.

7) How many people will work for my project?

We are looking for diversity and for best experience of our EPs. We are trying to place them in different schools, to more

interact with Nepali people and culture. Usually, it`s 1 school – 2-3 interns, for 1 projects we have up to 20 schools. The

same about non-education projects.



CoLor tHe fuTuRe Description

1. EP will be placed in a school located inside the capital city of Nepal, Kathmandu.

2. EP is going to be responsible for running classroom activities with children.

3. They are going to run workshops based on activities such as creating materials from recycled

items, running art games and other based on visual stimulation.

4. EP is going to work with under privileged children of different communities.

5. EP will help the local teachers for the improved teaching metholodogies.

6. EP should showcase their culture and learn the Nepalese culture in an exchange.

Realization period - always through out the year (please, confirm with your VPs school̀ s vacations period!!

Expected results

Most of the government schools in Nepal are underfunded and having less infrastructures and less human

resources.

- It is expected that after the effective implementation of EP, maximum number of government school

students will get benefit to expand their knowledge, take guidance for career development and solve problem

locally.

Required preparation

a) EP should be mentally ready to work in different harsh situations if arisen.

b) Research more about Nepal, its education system and lifestyle

c) Bring own personal teaching materials famous in his/her home country if possible.

d) Bring your own laptop if necessary.

e) Bring your own bed sheet

f) PROJECT FEE FOR EACH INTERN IS 150$.

g) Ask EP to prepare first lesson about his/her country, traditions and family.

Description

1) EP will be placed in a school that is outside the major city, so it will be a countryside

with beautiful natural view and also rich in culture.

2) EP is going to be responsible for running classroom activities with underprivileged

children.

Developing soft skills of Student from age group (16-18) regarding the

Students must be able to boost up themselves regarding their confidence

level, public presentation or speech, sharing creative ideas.

Plan Your Future Description

12 EPs will be called for from all over the world. We want to have diversity in this

project. There will be 2 teams each team consisting of 6 EPs. The members will

always be shuffled in the 2 teams so that all the EPs can interact with each other.

EPs will have to give a session to Nepali students in Grade 9 and 10 about majors

which are not mainstream; like doctor, Engineer, Pilot, etc and other common

careers. 2 EPs are needed for one career. 12 EPs will have to visit 20 different

schools. 2 teams will cover 10 schools each. Working days are 4 days a week. Also

the EPs have to showcase their culture as well to the Nepali students and also for

GLOBAL VILLAGE. If you want to present a fun/interesting career which is not listed

below, feel free to contact us.

The careers to be presented to Nepali sudents are:

1. Musician/Dance: It is better if the EP is studying in the music or dance field. The

EP must have a vast knowledge on this career and give a session about being a

musician/dancer in life. The EP must deliver sessions to the children about what

scopes are there if they become a Musician/Dancer and how this profession

contributes to the present world.

2. Multimedia: It is better if the EP's major is multimedia with a vast knowledge of

Multimedia. The EP must deliver sessions to the children about what scopes are

there if they study Multimedia and how this profession contributes to the present world.

3. Economics/Politics/Finance/International Relations: It is better if the EP's major is something related to this career/topic so that the EP can have a vast



knowledge on this career. The EP must deliver sessions to the children about what scopes are there if they study these subjects and how this profession

contributes to the present world.

4. Psychology/ Sociology/ Anthropology: It is better if the EP's major is related to these careers/topics so that the EP can have a vast knowledge about it.

The EP must deliver sessions to the children about what scopes are there if they study these subjects and how this profession contributes to the present

world.

5. Literature/Arts: It is better if the EP's major is either Literature or Arts. The EP must deliver

sessions to the children about what scopes are there if they study Literature/Arts and how this

profession contributes to the present world.

6. IT: It is better if the EP's major is a field in IT itself so that the EP has a vast knowledge in this

field and career. The EP must deliver sessions to the children about what scopes are there if they

study IT or something related to IT and how this profession contributes to the present world.

Guiding Lights – KU Description:

1)EP should participate in curriculum development, program planning, school

evaluation processes, and other faculty committees as required by the school

administration

2)Ep should take class as a primary and secondary instructor

3)Use of local materials for classroom activities

4)Sharing experiences with local instructors

5)Reporting the progress of job to the office including monitoring student progress

and evaluate the student's achievement in relation to learning objectives

6)Help in developing creative side of kids such as painting, drawing, singing,

dancing etc.

Expected results

Progress in the english language of both team members and students

Little change to students in food culture, greetings and etc.

Nepal

Connection Description

The volunteers choose from the above mentioned tasks the one they want to focus on

before arrival:

1) Marking locally, nationally and internationally of the community's restaurant and trekking

route. All the money raised will go for the development of the rural areas of Nepal.

2) Become a health assistant. There is a health post in the community of Myagdi village.

3) Volunteering in nursery: they can look after plantations.

4) Community Development (creative, innovative, new ideas): promoting better lifestyle.

According to choice of task, volunteer will be placed in an appropriate village within Myagdi.

Expected results

1. Satisfaction of Opportunity manager

2. Set up an english speaking environment in the community

3. The EP should create a positive impact on the village

4. EP should make the trekking route and restaurant known to the national and international people

VHS

Bhaktapur EP needs to pass through interview with AIESEC and interview with VHS

representative!

1. Assist to prepare business development plans and strategies.

2. Research on product promotion and differentiation

3. Develop multimedia materials around the products and services of VHS

4. Visualize the process of going abroad for study or develop a fancy interface for

career counseling test.

5. Assist in day to day administrative and operational activities.

6. Others as and when required
