Eggar’s School started using Arbor Insight reports to save time analysing their RAISEonline data

Martyn explains: “Arbor Insight has saved us days and days and days of work where we would manually go through [our RAISEonline data] and analyse it. Staff who aren’t technically minded have found the reports incredibly easily accessible, to the point where there is no difference between using them with classroom teachers, the leadership team, and the governing body as well.”

Martyn explains that their Assistant Headteacher “doesn’t enjoy using data to help formulate his arguments. It took him just half an hour to work through our Arbor reports to find the strongest arguments for our performance for more able students, and he could then go strongly into his NACE interviews and audit days. Preparation for our accreditation was incredibly swift. Normally I would have to do the analysis and present it to him, now I don’t. Anthony has done 10 or 15 years in leadership, and it’s changed his approach in 3 months. He goes into meetings now with a new found confidence.”

Martyn explains: “We learn from what’s happened in the past and plan for improved performance in the future. And it’s not reliant on 2 or 3 people to find it, it becomes everybody’s thing to sort out. Which is quite a subtle change, but a really important one.”

They found that their reports transformed the way they analyse their data

Rather than time consuming internal investigations, “Now it’s just: we’ll use the Arbor reports to find out what the patterns are and to find out our strengths and what we need to focus on. It’s reshaped what we do and how we analyse school performance data.”
