 When  you  hold  a   large-­‐scale  event  or  a   fundraiser,  creating  a  blog  can   increase  your   Internet   visibility.   However,   managing   a   blog   is   different   from  managing  social  networks.  There  are  some  specific  "blogging"  rules  to  follow.      Make  a  plan  and  post  regularly    Fans  and  supporters  appreciate  being  kept   informed  of  progress  of   the  project,  news,  etc.  Do  this  by  posting  articles  as  often  as  possible,  at  least  2  times  a  week.      Feel   free   to   post   more   often,   but   what   is   most   important   is   to   be   consistent.  Avoid,  for  instance,  posting  10  articles  in  a  week  and  then  no  more  for  a  month.      The  quality  of  the  post  is  not  critical    It’s  fine  if  you  don’t  have  a  flair  for  writing.  You  don’t  have  to  spend  an  hour  on  each  article.  People  like  a  casual  style:  write  simply  and  quickly.  This  will  come  with  time.  The  key  is  to  make  the  post  relevant.      Just  write    Write  like  you  talk  to  your  friends.  Use  short,  simple  sentences.  Make  it  easy  for  your  audience:  Don't  be  boring!      The  reader   is  not  there  to  develop  his   literary  sense.  The  reader   is   there  to  get  useful  information.  So,  be  brief  and  relevant!      Pay  attention  to  aesthetics    Select   titles   and   subheadings   that   are   consistent   with   your   topic.   Include   a  summary.   If   you  can,   add  pictures   related   to   the   topic  of  your  article.  This  will  make   your   readers'   job   easier.   This  will   increase   visits   to   your   blog,   and   thus  your  project  page.      Do  not  be  concerned  about  the  number  of  visits    When  you  write,   don’t  wonder   about  how  many  people  will   read   your  post   or  what   their   comments   might   be.   When   you   enjoy   writing,   followers   will   be  attracted   to   you   and   your   blog.   This   will   definitely   help   increase   your   SEO  ranking!
