What an honour for Victoria, our Y6 School Council representative! On Wednesday she had a day out of class to work with the Northern Ballet Theatre staff in interviewing their new dance teacher. She had to observe 3 lessons and then had to go into the conference room to interview them! How is that for the impact of a child’s voice. The children in 1S, 1R and 2M were the children who had to do the lesson with the prospective new member of staff. What a difficult decision she had to make, but we (and the Northern Ballet staff) and happy with the candidate that was appointed. Take a bow Victoria.

How Do We Fit So Much Into A Week?

Well what a week we celebrated last week.

Thanks to Robin’s mum in Y1, we celebrated

Children in Need by dressing in pyjamas for the

day. We raised over £200 so well done all.

Friday also saw a special visitor who wowed the

children with his Magic Maths. Andrew was an

inspiration with his maths number tricks. He

was astounded with the maths showcased in

our wonderful school. Andrew watched live the

Grand Times Tables finals. Simply wonderful.

The great guys at @lonbooksproject gave our

school 550 age appropriate books that they can

take home and keep forever. The looks on the

children’s faces were priceless. They were so

grateful and so excited to keep them. The

special Green Reading Hut will be with us all the

way until Christmas!

Northern Ballet will be hosting their annual

CBeebies panto again here on Saturday 18th

December, FREE tickets and FREE lunch

information will be coming in the next few
