WHO AM I? My Name is Thomas Desmarais I’m 12 years old I live in Oakville, ON I’m in grade 7 at W. H. Morden P.S. I participate in a fundraiser called
“MOvember”
WHAT IS MOVEMBER? Fundraiser run during November where
men across the world get pledges for growing moustaches.
Funds raised go to research to find a cure for men’s cancers, specifically Prostate Cancer
In 2011, MoBros in Canada raised $42 Million
TSN Sportcasters and Ron Wilson are some of the more famous MoBros
WHY I DO MOVEMBER? Two of my
grandfathers had prostate cancer I didn’t want any others I know to get it.
To support my uncle’s Movember campaign
To show kids that they can make a big difference
MY MOVEMBER...
Since I’m only 12 and can’t grow a moustache, I wear a different fake moustache every day (from 7:00 am to 9:00 pm)
I take pictures of my moustache each day and post them on my blog
People can donate to my campaign online at my blog or in person via cash
