The layout used is conventional for film posters, the credits are placed at the bottom of the page and the logo is placed in the middle of the picture which takes up the majority of the page. It also contains films that were also made by the producers.

The film name/logo is the largest and brightest font on the page. all fonts on the poster are sans serif font and the credits use a specific slim font which is conventional.

Production company logo and release date listed with credits.

The picture used is a long shot as it shows The three main charactersFull bodies and shows their ‘uncool’ clothing which is Comical for the audience.

There is a consistent colour scheme used which helps create a house style and does not overload the page with too many colours.

My poster uses a consistent colour scheme which is conventional for film posters. The red, white and black colour scheme is used in two of the most successful films of the genre (Superbad and American pie)

The Graduation logo is the largest font on the cover and is located across the middle of the page which is conventional as it is in the route of the eye there. All fonts are sans serif which is again conventional as its easy to read. A specific credit font is used which is conventional for all film posters.

The layout follows conventions for film posters and the picture takes up the majority of the page. distribution company logos and the release date. A quote and rating is at the top of the page which is common for film posters.

A long shot is used of the three main characters which shows their nerdy clothing, which is conventional of the genre which often uses ‘uncool’ kids for comical effect. Props from the film are also used which is conventional of the genre and used in films such as the American pie franchise

The picture is a long shot so you can see a lot of the actress and makes her eye catching for the audience.

Masthead is brightest and largest font on page which is conventional and placed at the top of the cover is also conventional for film magazines as it is the most eye catching and recognisable font on the page.

Coverlines are placed down the side of magazine cover which is conventional for all film magazines.

Coverlines down both sides of the page is conventional for film magazines as they show the reader what’s inside and the coverlines are related to big movies and stars.

All fonts are sans serif which makes it easier to read for the audience. Masthead is largest font on the page as it is the most easy to recognise for audiences. Cover story is also bold large font as it advertises the biggest story in the issue and relates to the picture which is a convention used by most film magazines.

Mid shot of the actor is used so large amount of his body is on the cover which will make him easily identified by the audience and sell copies. Film magazines tend to use a mid or long shot on the main picture of a famous actor.

A consistent colour scheme is used on the cover which is a convention used by all magazines. It helps create a house style and give the product a professional look
