how the subconscious mind works

What is the subconscious mind ?
By Jeremy James http://www.mindbodyvortex.com/
Have you ever ended up driving to work and wondered
– for a second – how you got there? With no recollection of stopping at the red lights, turning left or even driving at all. Who was driving while you were busy
thinking about the upcoming day or what you just saw on the morning news?
There is a deeper part of your mind at work here; a hidden gateway that operates below the level of awareness.
Known as the subconscious mind, this part of your brain drives most of what you do throughout the day and is responsible for every aspect of your life whether you like it or not.
The habit of driving, for example, has been programmed into your
subconscious mind through experience – allowing the
conscious mind to focus on other things if desired.
Your subconscious mind is your
autopilot
Your conscious mind decides what needs to get
done and your subconscious provides the resources and information
to get the job done seamlessly – almost
spontaneously.
Things seem to "just happen" as we move through our daily lives. Each action we take and each event that takes
place following our morning routine just seems to unravel without much questioning or mental control on our part.
We just do what we need to do and that's it. Reality happens to us, and not the other way around. This is one
of life’s biggest illusions!
THE MIND CAN BE BROKEN
DOWN INTO TWO
COEXISTING PARTS
Conscious Mind
Subconscious Mind
We live here and this is the mind we
experience life from.
This is the mind we identify with and call “I”.
Every action we take,
what we feel and what we perceive as reality is witnessed through the eye of the conscious
mind.
CONSCIOUS MIND
The totality of mental processes of which we
are not aware. This is the part of consciousness that is normally not in
focus.
SUBCONSCIOUS MIND
The subconscious mind is a composite of everything we
see, hear, smell and any information the mind collects.
The conscious mind cannot
always absorb random information, so the
subconscious mind stores this information where it is locked up and only provided to the
conscious mind when needed.
SUBCONSCIOUS MIND
Psychologist Pierre Janet (1859-1947) has said:
“underneath the layers
o f c r i t i c a l - t h o u g h t functions of the conscious mind lay a power fu l awareness that called the subconscious mind. ”
Every conscious action or experience produces an impression on the subconscious. The subconscious mind uses this impression to produce a reaction, which is expressed in the personality. Everything expressed through the personality was first impressed on the subconscious. These impressions act as seeds – good or bad.
A Deeper Look Into the Definition of Subconscious
All of your hopes, dreams and desires have been impressed on the subconscious mind through conscious influence and are always ready to be expressed. Can you recall a moment when a random smell caught you out of nowhere, releasing some deep feelings inside of you? Not just a memory; but a vision, a desire or a powerful dream that has been safely locked away below your awareness waiting to be stirred up.
Maybe the scent of freshly cut grass or
garlic and basil could trigger this
phenomenon. Moments like these open a window –
giving us a glimpse into the vast world of unlimited storage
which is largely unknown to us.
The subconscious mind stores all of your previous
life experiences, your beliefs, your memories,
your skills and all situations you've ever been
exposed to.
This mind of infinite possibility obeys any
desire of the conscious mind and by knowing how to communicate properly, anyone may
attain any quality at any quantity.
Personal Power Remarkable

These are the realities that the subconscious mind can produce when properly
directed. The possibilities are limitless and guiding the subconscious mind can
become an art form – the art of attainment.
By concentrating frequently upon the subconscious mind, you will steadily awaken this great potential and with this
comes a bigger power and a sense of limitless belief. This is important because perfect faith and trust in the
process of tapping into the subconscious mind will cause desired results to be secured and virtually impossible to fail. The deeper the belief, the stronger the reaction from the
subconscious mind in expressing into your reality.
Combining a strong belief with a profound desire that is felt within your entire body is the secret of attainment. This is
where you can communicate with a deeper realm of your conscious energy and – in a
relatively short amount of time – reprogram your mind to
produce huge results in your life by developing powerful habits.
Doubts and anxiety will
eventually disappear.
You talk to your
subconscious mind all
the time but are usually unaware that this is even
taking place. But what if you could bring some
awareness to these deep
conversations and start crafting some intentional
outcomes in your life?
By using your conscious mind to install some new programs (habits), you can utilize the connection between your
conscious and subconscious mind to your advantage Your life skills will improve and you
will have much more control over your state of mind.
Daily affirmation and visualization is an amazing practice when it comes to reprogramming your mind and producing abundant
change in your life.
It is not as hard as you might think and here is how you can get to w o r k o n c h a n g i n g limiting beliefs.
It is not as hard as you might think and here is how you c a n g e t t o w o r k o n changing limiting beliefs.
Start by writing down the main issues
that you are struggling with in your life.
Give this some thought and focus on
the things that you know deep down
you are not satisfied with. This may be
within your relationships, career, health,
finance, self-image, spirit, etc. Try to
look into many different aspects.
For each problem or issue, identify
and write down the associated
personal beliefs that might be a
contributing factor.
Here are a few examples:
“I don’t have enough time to do it.”
“I have weak self-discipline.”
“I am not that type of person.”
“It will be too hard.”
“I can’t handle change.”
For each limiting belief, create a positive alternative ( opposite of the current belief.)
So if you believe that you are afraid of change, for example, your positive alternative
will be that you are optimistic and open to unlimited possibility.
It is extremely important to use the affirmation in present form, "I am". This is how the
subconscious mind is able to read this as a solid intention - as if it is already taking
place....
Write down the positive alternative and bring your attention to them each morning and
throughout the day. Write them down before you go to bed and bring your awareness and
intention towards fulfilling these new beliefs.
For each new belief, develop one action or small goal that you can
achieve each day that would fall in line with this new way of thinking.
With time and consistent practice, you will begin to
reprogram your subconscious to accept the new belief. This
process can take anywhere from a few weeks to 6 months,
depending on how hard wired your current belief system is.
As you learn and grow, your former beliefs may not bring value because they have become outdated and obsolete. You need to become aware of which beliefs are holding you back and start the process of changing limiting beliefs. This takes practice, but repetition is the key and you will be amazed at the results!
