Step 2: Import (Sync) a Google Classroom Class to Realize
You can easily import your Google Classroom Classes to Realize.
It is recommended that your Google Classroom is completely set up with all of your students
(invited and accepted) before importing to Realize so that assignments are not missed. Students
added at a later time will not see assignments added prior to adding them to the class.
When you import a class from Google Classroom into Realize, you are creating a brand new class
in Realize. This new class will not have any previously created assignments or grades. Students who
access assignments made to this class via Google Classroom will not see their old assignments
created in the previous class. Students can continue to use their preexisting Realize account to
access their old work, but they will use their Google Classroom account and always go to Google
Classroom first.
1. Sign in to Realize with your district teacher username and
password.
2. Click the icon in the top menu bar, and then
select Settings.
3. In the Account tab, scroll to the Account Linking section
and click Get Started.
4. If prompted, select or enter your Google Classroom sign in
information.
5. Click Allow to grant Realize access to your Google
Classroom account.

6. Select the Google class or classes you want to import into Realize.
7. Select the Realize programs you want to use with the class, and then click Connect Class.
8. Click Finish & View Classes.

Classes imported (synced) from Google Classroom appear in your class list with a Google
Classroom icon to the left of the class name.
9. Create a Realize assignment for the imported class. This provides an access link for your
students to go directly to Realize from Google Classroom. Alternatively, a Google Classroom
material link can be created. Click here to learn how!
10. The first time students access a Realize assignment from Google Classroom, they are
prompted to provide their Google Classroom sign in information and grant Realize access to
their Google Classroom account. Until they have granted Realize access to Google Classroom,
they will display as Needs to Connect in the Students & groups, Assignments by student,
and assignment student status lists.
