How to embed a YouTube video

– it’s as easy as 1,2,3!

ShowroomTo easily insert a YouTube clip into a

power-point display, you need to have Showroom downloaded onto your

computer. The link is:

Firefox download helper will download your icon for you.

This is an example of a clip from YouTube. The layout has changed and so has how you embed it.

So how do I do it? Method One:1.Go to the YouTube clip you want and click the showroom cursor on your youtube site.(When you click this, a list of different files will come down. You want the file that comes down as an MP4 file. If you click a flv. file for example, you will have to convert it and that just makes it complicated.)

Next, return to your power-point. Click insert. On the right hand side of your tool bar you will see video.

Click the film reel. Your download box

will pop up automatically. Locate the clip you want and…Again, click insert.Voilá! Your clip is ready.

Method two:Go to the YouTube clip you want.Under the video you will find the share button. Click.

I want to click this button.

This will then show you the embed button. Click.

I then need to make sure that “use old embed

code” is ticked.

I now click this box which will give me my embed code. When I

right click, I can copy it.

I now return to my power-point presentation.Click insert.Click video. This is where it is different from method one. Here I need to click the down arrow and click

“video from web site”.

Once I have done this, it will ask me for my embed code. I right click and press paste.Then I click insert and …voilá – it is done!
