Configuring a Mac for file sharing

To configure this Mac for file sharing, go to System Preferences

Click on your “Sharing” folder

Enable file sharing

Check the box to allow file sharing

Click here to add a new

folder to share Add the users you want to share files

with

Set up file sharing options

To share with Macs, select “Options” and

make sure AFP is enabled

To share with Windows, make sure

SMB is enabled

Select accounts to turn on file sharing

access

Accessing your shares from another Mac

Select “Go” and then “Network”
