QUICKTIME CRASHApple’s QuickTime Media Player includes a plug-in
known as QuickTime Plug-In. Basically this plugin
allows you to play compatible video and audio
content on the web. It tends to crash occasionally
while adding videos to the playlist. Interestingly,
many software such as CamTwist Studio, are
entirely made up of QuickTime components. As a
result, even though you haven’t installed QuickTime
Media Player you may still encounter this problem.

repeatedly. The steps for different browsers are

Windows Update KB2995388 and KB2975719 can be
blamed for the Quick Time Plug-in crash. These two
updates are known for making changes to the system
settings related to the functioning of MP4 file types.
MP4 file content may not play and cause the plug-in
to crash due to the recent changes. Check whether
any of these updates were recently installed.
For Windows 8.1/8 Press Windows Key + X. Select Programs and Features. Click “View installed updates” link on the left hand
side panel. You’ll get the list of all installed updates. In the Search box located at the top right corner, type
the following update names one by one and uninstall both of them.· KB2995388· KB2975719
