How to Install the BFM

• Find and open program files on your C drive

• Open the Novalogic folder

• Right click on the ‘regular’ DFX folder and select copy

• Move to a blank area..right click and choose paste

• ( This creates a duplicate copy of DFX )

• Right click on that copied folder and choose

rename

• Rename the folder DFX-BFM

Downloading the mod or update

• When the download window opens….choose save

• ( If downloading update…same procedure )

• The next box that comes up… use the dropdown list at top and choose desktop as

the save location

• When the download completes…you will have a WinRar icon on your desktop

• Go back to your program files and open the new DFX-BFM folder you created

• Reduce the size of it on your desktop

• Drag the mod download over and into the open DFX-BFM folder

• Now open/run the program

• Answer ‘install’, ‘yes’, or ‘yes to all’ to any choice that comes up with the installer

• You do not have to choose anything

• It is installing everything where it is supposed to be

• When the installation is complete you will see a message that says ‘hit any key’

• Now find in that folder a blue icon that says BFMselect

• Right click on it and select ‘send to’…desktop (create shortcut)

• On your desktop, right click on the BFMselect icon and choose rename

• Rename it DFX-BFM

• This is the icon you use to start the game

• Use this step only one time

• Start the game

• On the startup screen there is a box called ‘setup’ click it

• Under the BFM game click select folder

• Local disc C / program files / Novalogic / DFX-BFM

• Select DFX-BFM then click ok

• Click ‘update BFM newsboard’

• Now when you start the game from the desktop icon all you have to do is click on the

BFM icon. It will start the game and clear the game cache for you.
