How to Split Assets (Fixed Assets)

1- When You Add Asset from Payable (AP), Transfer it to

Fixed Assets and you want Split it.

Fixed Assets Responsibility

Mass Additions: Prepare Mass Additions


Choose Your Book and Queue (NEW)

Then Press Find

Choose Your Asset Need to Split


Press Open

Asset Details TAB


Change Units as You Like

Press Assignments to Assignments New Units to it’s

Locations

Press Done After Complete

Press SPLIT

You Will Find 3 Assets (Units which you Split)


Note: All Next Steps for All New Split Assets.


Change Queue From New To Post

Enter to Each Assets and prepare it to Assets by

Add Available information to each other

(Category, Expense Account, Cost, Location, Date in Service)

Then Asset Details TAB


Enter Available Information

(Tag Number, Serial, Asset Key, Asset Type)…etc

Depreciation TAB


Enter Depreciation Method, Prorate Convention

Press Done

Run Request to View Your Split Assets as Assets


Go to Mass Additions: Post Mass Additions

Choose your Parameters Book Name (TRAFOS)


Press Submit

After Request be Complete Normal

You will find your Split Assets on Asset Workbench

Note: You Can Change Any Information for any

Asset Before runs Depreciation.
