Games of Sudan Anashel (much like football) 8 players on a team – 2 teams Throw an object that is somewhat hard to see – bone in the sand. Everyone runs for the object after a signal. When someone finds the object and picks it up, the player runs to finish line without being caught or wrestled down. The object can be thrown from one teammate to another. Whee 8 players on a team – 2 teams Hop on one leg to finish line. Players try to stop other team players by bumping them out of the way. The whole team has to cross the line to win. The Sheep and The Hyena (birthday game) For this game, the birthday child is to choose who is to be the sheep, and another to be the hyena. All the other players form a circle. The sheep goes into the center of the circle. The hyena stays outside the circle. The players move around in a circle. They try to stay close to each other so that the hyena can’t enter the circle to tag the sheep. When the hyena enters the circle, he or she becomes the sheep. Another player is chosen as the hyena. The end of the game is once all players have had a turn at being the hyena.
