Technological principles:
Dorado2100 G2 High-speed hardware platform
Dual controllers and load balancing: Active-active dual controllers
can separately process I/O requests from application servers. Loads
on the dual controllers are well balanced.
High-speed bus and I/O channels: The system uses the PCIe 3.0 bus
technology and SAS 2.0 I/O channel technology, so the exchange
bandwidth inside the system reaches 48 GB/s.
Multi-core CPUs and multi-channel memory: The system uses
Romley 8-core CPUs, each of which has three memory channels, so
the communication bandwidth among CPUs reaches 38.4 GB/s.
High-speed interfaces: There are 8 x 8 Gbit/s onboard Fibre Channel
ports, and eight more 8 Gbit/s Fibre Channel or 10GE TOE ports, or
four more 40 Gbit/s InfiniBand ports can be added into the system.

System resource optimization
The I/O scheduling module is specifically optimized for the
solid-state storage architecture, so the thread switchover
latency and system resource occupation are greatly reduced.
The SSD-dedicated cache algorithm greatly simplifies the
computing, and reduces I/O latency and performance
fluctuation.
Huawei SSDs have a periodical self-check mechanism, so
storage controllers do not need to frequently check the SSDs,
and the CPU and memory consumption is obviously reduced.
Technological principles:
The CPU and memory resources are no longer wasted in
processing non-I/O applications, and the system can devote

one image of each actual disk.
If the UltraPath is not installed, a host can access
LUNs on the disk array through multiple paths. This

1. Use the Dorado5100 to replace HP EVA6000.
2. Deploy one Dorado5100 in production center and DR center respectively and
use synchronous remote replication to protect data.
3. Deliver the project jointly with an agent. Let the agent be responsible for the
data migration of the live network and keep the upper-layer Oracle database
architecture unchanged.
