Hydraulic Pullers

These hydraulic pullers eliminate time-consuming and unsafehammering, heating or prying. Damage to parts is minimized throughthe use of controlled hydraulic power.

Posi Lock® Pullers

The puller that meets the safetychallenge. A control cage holds thepulling jaws securely in workingposition. This patented feature reducesthe possibility of the puller jaws slipping

off the work surface thereby increasing productivity andtool life while reducing dangerous situations for the user.The Posi Lock® feature is available in mechanical orhydraulic versions.

PageWhen selecting a puller itis important to consider three basic specifications:

1. Capacity: The amount of force the puller is capable of producing.Typically, the capacityrequired for a job can bedetermined by using theshaft diameter of the partbeing pulled.For manual pullers, thecenter bolt diameter ofthe puller should be atleast half the diameter of the shaft being pulled from.For hydraulic pullers, thecapacity in tons shouldbe 7 to 10 times the shaftdiameter. Use thefollowing chart:

Application Tip

In determining the correctmanual puller capacity foryour application, use thefolllowing rule:

The center bolt diameter of the pullershould be at least 1/2 the diameter of theshaft being pulled on.

Example:

A part being pulled from a shaft with a diameter of 1.5" would require a puller with a center bolt diameter of at least .75".

Long Jaws

Long Jaws are used toincrease the reach andspread of manual pullers.They maintain the samepulling capacity as the

standard jaws, but reduce clampingforce to 25%.

Shaft Attachments

Shaft protectors andextenders are live centersthat fit over the standardpuller shaft for tip protectionand additional reach.
