WHY AN ALTERNATIVE TO PETROLEUM ?

The major concerns in the transport sector can be enumerated as follows:

Growing gap between demand and supply of petroleum.

Oil intensification of Indian economy due to declining self-sufficiency in oil

and increasing oil demand.

Inadequate development of eco-friendly energy sources including hydro

and renewable energy.

Urgency for containing environmental pollution caused by burning of fossil

fuels and biomass energy.

WHY HYDROGEN ?

Hydrogen has significant potential as a clean energy source for broad range

of applications including power production and transportation.

Renewable electricity is used to produce hydrogen gas through electrolysis of

water, and use it as fuel. Thus it acts as an energy carrier, to store energy for

use in transportation.

Hydrogen has the further advantage of being a zero-emission fuel too as it

is carbon-free.

STEP 2 PROSPECTS & TARGET MARKET

Page 9: Hydrogen car development process

• Company capabilities to produce & market the product : The Production &

marketing can be done with ease due to the novelity in the product.

• Nature & wants of Buyer : These days people are aware of the necessity for

eco friendly alternatives. So H2Car will be readily accepted.

• Market Size & Product Price : Considering the huge Indian automobile

market, the market size is huge and pricing will be set so as to be easily

accepted by the public.

STEP 3 CONCEPT DEVELOPMENT & TESTING

FEASIBILITY ANALYSIS

Page 11: Hydrogen car development process

CONCEPT TESTINGThe car will be powered with a 886cc engine which will derive its

power from the fuel cell system that is attached to the hydrogen tanks.

Hydrogen so required can be produced as follows:

Thermal Processes

Gasification of Coal,

High-temperature Water

Splitting (Solar & Nuclear)

Electrolytic Processes

Electricity from

renewable sources like wind,

solar,etc

Photolytic Processes

STEP 7 COMMERCIALISATION

Page 20: Hydrogen car development process

H2 has to cross all Political & Technical Barriers before it can be

commercialized in the market

Establishment of hydrogen gas pipeline network in various areas through

MoUs with major fuel providers like IOC.

The cost of the car can be reduced in the coming days via technological

advancements in hydrogen powered IC engines.

Our main strength comes from our Marketing ,R&D and Planning Departments.

H2 will be placed in the following range :

H2 Standard : 2.89 lakhs

H2 Deluxe : 3.14 lakhs

H2 Luxury : 3.59 lakhs
