Proportions & scale of logoNotE: Logo should be scaled proportionally. Also, note that logo is rectangular in format. Do NOT attempt to scale or warp logo to constrained proportions that are irregular to brand standards. Minimum clear space for logo should depend on scale; however, here is basic rule for non-scaled logo. X=half of height of logo to be applied as space around each side vertically and horizontally of logo bound box.

bound box

NotE: To scale any logo to a bigger proportion you need the Adobe Illustrator program (Ai). Once in the program select the corner of the bounding box of the logo while holding the SHIFT key, scale the logo to the size you want. Make sure the canvas (the file size can fit the new proportioned logo) and save the file under a different file name. See Unacceptable uses and alterations of logo page (page 8-9) to see which alterations are not acceptable for any HydroHoist Logo.

Typography is an important aspect to a successful brand identity. An official font should reflect the image of the organization it represents. If it’s used consistently, HydroHoist typography can identify the brand independently of its word marks or logos. Thus, helping grow the company’s brand.

Gotham and Miller Display are the approved HydroHoist fonts because of their capability and use with the company’s logo and word marks. Suitable alternates for these fonts would be Verdana and Georgia. However, HydroHoist departments are encouraged to download Gotham and Miller Display for use. The suitable alternate for Gotham is Verdana and the suitable alternate for Miller Display is Georgia. Both of the alternate versions of these fonts, Verdana and Georgia, come with most computer operating systems.
