1. Overview Hyundai’s Training and Certification System (TACS) is the location for all Hyundai Training. TACS offers a wide range of features and benefits including: • Available 24/7 on the internet • Register for classroom training • Take web-based training courses • View the entire course catalog & upcoming training schedules • View your training transcript & required certification curriculum • Print training certificates

2. Accessing Hyundai TACS / Login In order to access Hyundai TACS, you will need to go through HyundaiDealer.com or HMAService.com. 1. Open your web browser and type http://www.HyundaiDealer.com or http://www.HMAService.com

into the URL or address field. Then press Enter. 2. For HyundaiDealer.com, enter your Dealer Code, UserID, and Password in the corresponding text

fields. The click on the Log-in button.

For HMAService.com, enter your User ID and Password into the corresponding text fields. Then click on the Sign In button.

Note: If you have problems accessing HyundaiDealer.com or HMAService.com, please contact Hyundai’s Dealer Helpdesk number at 1-800-435-7737.

3. On HyundaiDealer.com, select the Training (TACS) link from the left menu which will open up the

Hyundai TACS website in a new browser window.

4. On HMAService.com, select the Training (TACS) link from the left menu which will open up the Hyundai TACS website in a new browser window.

5. You should now see the Hyundai TACS Login page where you will gain access to the TACS training

system.

Note: Alternatively, you can open your web browser and go to https://www.hyundaitacs.com.

6. Enter your auto-generated username in the Username field. Note: Please refer to the section on Registration if you have not yet setup an account.

7. Enter your password in the Password field. 8. Click on the Sign On button to login to TACS.

3. Log Out

To exit the Hyundai TACS system, you can log out from the upper right part of the application. 1. Click on the Log Out button.

2. You will be returned to the main Hyundai TACS Login page.

4. Learner Registration 1. From the Hyundai TACS Login page, click on the Create My Profile button.

2. Enter your First Name, Middle Initial (if any), Last Name, the Last Four Digits of your SSN, Date

of Birth in the format (MM/DD/YYYY), and select your Military Service (if any). 3. Click on the Continue button.

Note: The fields indicated in the yellow box below are required. See sample below.

4. The system will auto-generate your Username. You will need to make note of your Username.

5. Select your Primary Role from the Select Your Primary Role drop-down menu.

6. Enter a new password in the Password field. Then re-enter your password in the Confirm Password field. Note: Your password must be a minimum of six characters. Remember to make note of your Password.

7. Enter the city you were born in the What City Were You Born In field.

8. Enter a unique email address in the Email Address field. Note: Your email address must be unique when registering. TACS will not allow duplicate email addresses.

9. Click on the Create My Profile button. Note: The fields indicated in the yellow box below are required. See sample below.

10. You will get a confirmation message box indicating that you have successfully registered. Click the OK button to return to the Hyundai TACS Login screen.

5. Password Recovery To recover your username and reset your password, follow the steps below: 1. To recover your username and reset your password, click on the Forgot My Password button.

2. Enter the first initial of your first name in the First Initial of First Name field. 3. Enter your last name in the Last Name field. 4. Enter the last four digits of your SSN in the Last Four Digits of SSN field. 5. Enter your date of birth in this format (MM/DD/YYYY) in the Date of Birth field. 6. Click on the Find button.

Note: The fields indicated in the yellow box below are required. 7. The system will display your auto-generated Username. You will need to make note of this. 8. Enter the city your were born in the What City Were You Born In field. 9. Enter your new password in the Password field. 10. Re-enter your password in the Confirm Password field.

Note: Your password must be a minimum of six characters. Remember to make note of your Password.

11. Click on the Update My Account button.

12. You will get a confirmation message box indicating that you have successfully changed your password.

13. Click on the OK button to return to the Login screen.

6. My Account 1. Click on the My Account button located at the top right-hand corner of the screen.

2. A pop-up window will appear with your Account Profile details (as shown in the example below).

6.1. Update Account Profile You can update your Account Profile details which include Email, Military Service, What City Were You Born In, and Password.

1. To update your Email address, click inside the Email text box, delete your current Email address,

and input your new one (Note: Your email address is required).

2. To update your Military Service, click on the Military Service selection box and select your new

Military Service. If you are no longer part of a military branch, select ‘None’.

3. To update the city you were born in, click on the Update button next to the ‘What City Were You Born In?’ label.

4. A pop-up window will appear for you to update your city. 5. Enter your password in the Password field (required). 6. Enter your new city in the New City field (required). 7. Confirm your city by entering your new city in the Confirm City field (required). 8. Click on the Submit button.

9. A confirmation box will appear indicating that your city was updated successfully. Click on the OK button to get back to the My Account window.

10. To update your password, click on the Update button next to the ‘Password’ label.

11. A pop-up window will appear for you to update your password. 12. Enter your city you were born in the What City Were You Born In field. 13. Enter your new password in the New Password field.

Note: The password must be a minimum of six characters.

14. Confirm your password by re-entering your new password in the Confirm Password field.

Note: The New Password and Confirm Password fields must match.

15. Click on the Submit button.

16. A confirmation box will appear indicating that your password was successfully updated. Click on the

OK button to get back to the My Account window.

17. Click on the Save button to save the rest of your changes.

18. A confirmation window will appear indicating that your profile has been saved. Click on the Close button to return to where you last left off in the system.

7. Training Dashboard (Learner) The TACS training dashboard is customized for you based on your specific job role(s). From the dashboard, you can review your training progress, enroll in classroom training and complete web-based courses.

7.1. Overview

The dashboard main menu consists of the following buttons across the top that navigate you through the major areas of TACS. Top Menu Bar

Quick access back to your Training Dashboard screen.

Displays your current classroom enrollment. You can view your training calendar, get class details and withdraw from classes. Choose from class list or calendar view.

Web-based courses in your certification path. If you do not complete the Web-based course it automatically bookmarks your last location in the course.

Displays available quizzes (if required).

Shows completed certification level(s).

Lists all classroom and web-based training available, including upcoming class schedules.

Top Menu Bar (cont)

Displays your completed classroom and web-based training. You can also print your transcripts, and course certificates.

Displays your name and your primary job role.

Allows you to toggle between your job roles (if you have multiple job roles) to display a different dashboard.

Displays your current account profile and allows you to update your personal information.

Logs you out of Hyundai TACS.

The following symbols appear next to the courses displayed on the Training Dashboard:

7.2. Job Roles At the top right hand corner of the Hyundai TACS screen is your name and your primary job role.

Since some employees have more than one job function, Hyundai TACS allows you to switch your dashboard view based on the job role you select. Note: Your Hyundai TACS account will show multiple job roles for you providing that your employee account in the Hyundai Web DCS system shows multiple roles. Please see your Web DCS administrator to have additional roles added to your personnel record. Any changes to your job roles that are made in the Web DCS may will take up to 48 hours to reflect back in Hyundai TACS.

1. On the right side of the Hyundai TACS dashboard is a drop down to switch job roles.

2. Using the drop down, select your job role you wish to view.

Note: Your Hyundai TACS account will show multiple job roles for you providing that your employee account in the Hyundai Web DCS system shows multiple roles. Please see your Web DCS administrator to have additional roles added to your personnel record. Any changes to your job roles that are made in the Web DCS may will take up to 48 hours to reflect back in Hyundai TACS.

3. The dashboard will now show the course view for the new job role shown.

4. For each role selected, the dashboard lists each course under its assigned certification level:

Courses not assigned to a specific certification level are listed on the right under .

7.3. Enroll in Classroom Training

The dashboard allows you to enroll in classroom training courses and play web-based training courses. Follow these steps to enroll in classroom training: 1. From the dashboard, use the drop down menu on the right side to choose the role you wish to view,

if applicable. Some users will have multiple job roles while others won’t. Note: Your Hyundai TACS account will show multiple job roles for you providing that your employee account in the Hyundai Web DCS system shows multiple roles. Please see your Web DCS administrator to have additional roles added to your personnel record. Any changes to your job roles that are made in the Web DCS may will take up to 48 hours to reflect back in Hyundai TACS.

2. Choose a course you wish to enroll in by clicking on the course listing. Be sure that Classroom

appears below the course name which indicates the course is instructor-led classroom-training.

3. Once you select the course you are interested in enrolling in, a list of classes (if available) will appear showing when the class is scheduled, who the instructor is, lodging, facility, city, and region. A class is a specific event/instance of a course. Select the specific class you wish to enroll in by clicking on the class, which will highlight the entire row in dark blue. Then click on the Enroll button.

4. After you enroll in a classroom training course, you will see (enrolled) on your dashboard indicating you are successfully enrolled.

You can enroll in Classroom training from the dashboard simply by clicking on it.

Use the drop down to switch roles to change your dashboard view.

7.4. Playing Web-Based Training

The dashboard allows you to play web-based training courses. Follow these steps to begin playing web-based training.

1. If you wish to play a web-based course, simply choose the course you wish to view by clicking on

the web-based course listing. Also see Section 10 in this User Guide for additional instructions on launching and playing web-based courses.

2. If you begin a new web-based course, but do not finish, you will see (in progress) on your dashboard indicating you are currently in progress of taking the course. Note: When exiting a Web-Based course, the system will automatically bookmark your last saved location.

7.5. View Completed Courses

1. Each time you complete and pass a web-based or classroom training course, a will appear next to the course on your dashboard. Note: If you complete and pass a classroom training course but do not see it showing as completed, it is likely because the instructor has not yet closed out the class. Only after the instructor has closed out the class will you then be given credit for having completed and passed the classroom training.

You can play a Web-Based course directly from the dashboard simply by clicking on it.

2. Once you complete all the courses (web-based and classroom) in a level, will appear on your dashboard for that level.

8. Classroom - My Classes

8.1. Overview 1. To view the instructor-led classes that you are enrolled in, click on the Classroom button from the

top of the main menu.

2. A drop down menu will appear. Click on My Classes.

3. The screen will display a list of all currently enrolled classroom training. To change the sort order of

all the classes on the screen, click on the column heading you wish to sort by. The courses in the transcript can be sorted by Class ID, Class Title, Certification, Status, Start Date, and End Date. Once you click on the column heading, a small black arrow will appear in the column heading you select to indicate whether the sort order is alphabetical (A to Z) or reverse alphabetical (Z to A) . To change the direction of the sorting, click on the black arrow in the column heading to reverse the sort order.

4. Select a class by clicking on it. When selected, the color will change and will be highlighted darker.

5. For each selected class, the left side of the My Classes screen displays details for the specific class

for which you are enrolled.

6. Remember that if the Certification for a class is Training, it is because you have enrolled in an optional course which is not part of any of your certification plans as part of the job role or roles you have currently. For more information, refer to Section 13-3 in this User Guide.

Note: If you see an Inactive certification status, it means it is not the newest certification path and has been replaced with a new certification path.

8.2. View Resources

1. Select a class that you have enrolled in, which will highlight the class information. When selected, the color will change and will be highlighted darker.

2. To display the resources of a particular class you are enrolled, click on View Resources from the

top of the My Classes screen.

3. Class Instructor, Facility, Equipment, Room, and Lodging are the resources shown on the popup window.

4. Click on Print to print a list of the class and its resources. Otherwise click on Close to return to the

My Classes screen.

9. Classroom - My Calendar

9.1. Overview 1. To view the instructor-led classes that you are enrolled in, click on the Classroom button from the

top of the main menu.

2. A drop down menu will appear. Click on My Calendar.

3. The My Calendar screen will appear and display your enrolled instructor-led classes in a calendar view. Week numbers appear down the left side of the larger calendar.

4. As you hover your mouse pointer over each class listed, you will see a popup with the course details.

9.2. Navigation 1. To view an earlier or later month, use the and buttons to change the month of the smaller

calendar.

2. Once your small calendar shows the month you are interested in viewing, you must select any day in the month to refresh your view.

3. The larger calendar will then display the new month and overlay the classes for that month in which you are enrolled.

You can rapidly scroll through earlier or later months by holding down either

or buttons on the left and right side of the calendar.

9.3. Review Class Details

1. For specific details of each class, click on the class in the calendar to select and highlight. When selected, the color will change and will be highlighted darker.

2. Click on Class Details.

3. The Class Details screen will appear and provide general class details and resources for the instructor-led training class in which you are enrolled. Click on Print to print a list of the class details and its resources. Otherwise click on Close to return to the My Calendar screen.

9.4. Withdrawing 1. To withdraw from an enrolled class, click on the class in the calendar to select and highlight. When

selected, the color will change and will be highlighted darker.

2. Click on Withdraw.

3. A confirm window will prompt you to withdraw. Click Withdraw.

4. A confirmation will appear. Click OK.

10. Web-Based Courses

10.1. Course Selection Details 1. Click on the Web-Based button from the top of the menu.

2. TACS will display a list of all Web-Based courses in the system. To change the sort order of all the courses on the screen, click on the column heading you wish to sort by. The courses in the transcript can be sorted by Course ID, Course Title, Certification, or Start Date. Once you click on the column heading, a small black arrow will appear in the column heading you select to indicate whether the sort order is alphabetical (A to Z) or reverse alphabetical (Z to A) . To change the direction of the sorting, click on the black arrow in the column heading to reverse the sort order.

Note: The Web-Based Training screen displays all online web-based courses in TACS and the certification level it applies to for the given job role. SV denotes Service Manager. SC denotes Service Consultant. PM denotes Parts Manager. PC denotes Parts Counter Person.

3. Select a course by clicking on it. When selected, the color will change and will be highlighted darker. 4. For each selected class, the left side of the Web-Based screen displays details for the specific class

for which you are enrolled.

10.2. Playing Web-Based Training 1. Select a course from the Web-Based screen. When selected, the color will change and will be

highlighted darker.

Click on the Play button which is located below the main menu. In most cases, depending on the version of your Flash player, this will bring up a new window which starts playing the course.

Note: When exiting a Web-Based course, the system will automatically bookmark your last saved location.

Note: In addition, you can also play Web-Based courses directly from the Dashboard screen. Refer to Section 7.2 in this User Guide for more information.

11. Quizzes The Quiz functionality will be available in the near future. Once it becomes available on Hyundai TACS, this User Guide will be updated to include this new information.

12. Certification

12.1. View Certifications

1. Click on the Certification button from the top of the menu.

2. TACS will display a list of your completed certifications and the corresponding award shipping tracking code, if applicable. To change the sort order, click on the column heading you wish to sort by. The certifications can be sorted by Certification Title, Role, Certification Level, Award Tracking ID, and Completion Date. Once you click on the column heading, a small black arrow will appear in the column heading you select to indicate whether the sort order is alphabetical (A to Z) or reverse alphabetical (Z to A) . To change the direction of the sorting, click on the black arrow in the column heading to reverse the sort order.

Note: All web-based and classroom training courses and certification levels that you have completed in the old legacy Hyundai training system should display in your account in Hyundai TACS.

12.2. Certification Path Details 1. A list of all the certifications you have completed for all your job roles appears in the main window.

Note: If you get recertified for the same level, only the latest certification will show.

12.3. View & Print Certification Level Certificates To print out a certificate for a completed certification level, follow the steps below: 2. Click on the Certification button from the top of the menu.

3. A list of all the certifications you have completed for all your job roles appears in the main window. Click on the specific certification you wish to print. The row will be highlighted once you select it.

3. Click on the Print Certificate button.

4. A miniature certificate will appear in a popup window. Click on the Print button to print out the

certificate to your local printer. Once finished printing, click on Close button.

12.4. Close/Complete Certificate All web-based and classroom training courses and certification levels that you have completed in the old legacy Hyundai training system should display in your account in Hyundai TACS. Your transcript will be updated immediately after you complete and pass web-based courses. However with classroom training, your instructor must pass you and close out the class before your transcript is updated. There may be a delay of 1-2 business days between the time you leave the classroom environment and the time your instructor takes to grade all the students and close out the course. When you have completed all web-based and classroom training for a certification level, you have achieved that level of certification and your certification will appear from the Certification button from the top of the menu.

Once you complete all the courses (web-based and classroom) in a level, will also appear on your dashboard for that level for that particular job role the certification applies to.

If you have completed a certification and see it on the Certification screen but do not see

show up on the Dashboard screen, use the drop down on the Dashboard to ensure you are looking at the job role for that certification.

13. Course Catalog – Catalog View

The Course Catalog – Catalog View will enable you to play any web-based training course in the Hyundai TACS system. It will also allow you to register for instructor led classroom training courses, with a similar process also seen on the Dashboard screen as well as in the My Classes screen. The only difference is here you can see everything there is available in the Hyundai TACS system, and you can play courses and enroll in classes even if they are outside your current job role. (Note: You will not receive certifications for completed web-based and classroom courses outside your assigned job role or roles).

13.1. Details 1. Click on the Course Catalog button from the top of the menu.

2. A drop down menu will appear. Click on Catalog View.

3. TACS will display a list containing all the web-based and classroom training courses available in the

system. To change the sort order of all the courses on the screen, click on the column heading you wish to sort by. The certifications can be sorted by Course Title, Course ID, or Type. Once you click on the column heading, a small black arrow will appear in the column heading you select to indicate whether the sort order is alphabetical (A to Z) or reverse alphabetical (Z to A) . To change the direction of the sorting, click on the black arrow in the column heading to reverse the sort order.

4. The left side of the Course Catalog screen displays details for the specific class for each web-based

or classroom course you have selected.

13.2. Search Course Catalog The Search Course Catalog functionality will be available in the near future. Once it becomes available on Hyundai TACS, this User Guide will be updated to include this new information.

13.3. Enroll in Classroom Training To enroll in an instructor led classroom training course, follow the steps below: 1. Choose a course you wish to enroll in by clicking on the course listing. Be sure that Classroom

appears next to the course name which indicates the course is instructor-led classroom-training.

2. Click on the Enroll button. Be sure that Classroom appears next to the course name which indicates the course is instructor-led classroom-training.

13.4. Playing Web-Based Training

To playback and launch a web-based training course, follow the steps below:

2. Click on the Play button. Be sure that Web-Based appears next to the course name which indicates a web-based training course is available for playback. In most cases, depending on the version of your Flash player, this will bring up a new window which starts playing the course.

13.5. Updates to Course Catalog When TACS Administrators add and remove web-based and classroom training courses to Hyundai TACS, the course catalog will be refreshed in real time. When additional instructor-led classroom training sessions are added to the system, the course catalog will be refreshed in real time.

14. Course Catalog – Calendar View

The Course Catalog – Calendar View will allow you to register for instructor led classroom training courses. Here you can see everything there is available in the Hyundai TACS system by region in a calendar view. (Note: You will not receive certifications for completed web-based and classroom courses outside your assigned job role or roles).

5. The Calendar View screen will appear and display all the instructor led classes in a calendar view. Week numbers appear down the left side of the larger calendar.

6. As you hover your mouse pointer over each class listed, you will see a popup with the course details.

14.2. Navigation 1. To view an earlier or later month, use the and buttons to change the month of the smaller

calendar.

2. Once your small calendar shows the month you are interested in viewing, you must select any day in the month to refresh your view.

3. The larger calendar will then display the new month and overlay the classes for that month.

14.3. Review Class Details

1. For specific details of each class, click on the class in the calendar to select and highlight. When selected, the color will change and will be highlighted darker.

2. Click on Class Details.

3. The Class Details screen will appear and provide general class details and resources for the instructor-led training class in which you are enrolled. Click on Print to print a list of the class details and its resources. Otherwise click on Close to return to the Course Catalog - Calendar View screen.

14.4. Filtering By Facility Region 1. To filter the Course Catalog – Calendar View screen by facility region, select the dropdown above

the large calendar to choose the region you which to view. There is an option for All Regions to view all the courses within all Hyundai regions.

2. If you would like to drill down further to only display courses on the calendar for a specific facility

within a specific region, use the facility dropdown to further filter your course view. Note: This feature does not work if you have selected All Regions.

15. Learner Transcript

The transcript screen will display your transcript details which includes a list of all completed instructor led classroom courses and web-based courses currently in progress or completed.

15.1. View Courses 1. Click on the Transcript button from the menu.

2. To change the sort order of all the courses on the screen, click on the column heading you wish to sort by. The courses in the transcript can be sorted by Course Title, Course Type, Quiz Score, Status, Start Date, and End Date. Once you click on the column heading, a small black arrow will appear in the column heading you select to indicate whether the sort order is alphabetical (A to Z) or reverse alphabetical (Z to A) . To change the direction of the sorting, click on the black arrow in the column heading to reverse the sort order.

3. As you click on each course, the details appear on the left sidebar.

15.2. Print Certificate

To print out a certificate for a completed course, follow the steps below: 1. Click on the Transcript button from the menu.

2. A list of all the courses you have completed and passed appears in the main window. Click on the specific certification you wish to print. The row will be highlighted once you select it.

3. Click on the Print Certificate button.

4. A miniature certificate will appear in a popup window. Click on the Print button to print out the

certificate to your local printer.

Note: You must pass the course to be able to print a certificate. If you did not pass you will not get a certificate.

15.3. Print Transcript To print out a complete transcript of all the web-based and instructor led courses you have taken, follow the steps below: 1. Click on the Transcript button from the menu.

2. Click on the Print Transcript button.

3. A miniature transcript will appear in a popup window. Click on the Print button to print out the

transcript to your local printer.

15.4. Updates to Transcripts Your transcript will be updated immediately after you complete and pass web-based courses. However with classroom training, your instructor must pass you and close out the class before your transcript is updated. There may be a delay of a few business days between the time you leave the classroom environment and the time it takes your instructor to grade all the students and close out the course.
