Dobry den. My name is Sanjin Milinkovic. I am from University of Belgrade, Department for railway traffic and transport. With this presentation and paper I would like to present you a research about effects of forming specific freight trains category pick-up trains, that our team was working on. Transport of goods by rail has been growing daily and is getting more and more important because of environmental, safety, economical and other aspects of railway transport. Also complexity of rail operations in technical freight yards have increased. Technical freight yards are the places where pick-up trains are formed. They are one of the three main categories of freight trains. Their task is to pick-up and leave wagons on intermediate stations between two technical stations. Forming of these trains demands specific wagon sorting and shunting operations. Special group of tracks in technical stations are used for operations in the process of forming pick-up goods trains. *
