AARP Smart Driver CourseInstructor: Robert Nordin Drivers age 55 and older have an opportunity to save on their auto insurance premiums. This class offers methods that help compensate for normal age-related hearing, vision and other physical changes. Those attending receive and follow along in a workbook, view slides and receive additional information from a qualified instructor. Upon completion each person receives a Completion Certificate. Richard Middleton graduated from Kansas State University in Manhattan, Kansas with a Bachelor’s Degree and a Master’s Degree in Computer Science and Statistics. He
received his Distinguished Military Graduate officer commission in the US Army. After his commission, Dick was selected to be an instructor a the United States Military Academy in West Point, NY. His professional history includes Xerox Corporation and business professor with the University of Northwestern, St. Paul.
Dick is retired and lives in Eden Prairie. Dick is a member of American Legion Post #580 in Chanhassen, MN and a member of the Fort Snelling Memorial Rifle Squad.

Indoor soccer is a fast paced soccer game played on a boarded, turf soccer field. The field size resembles that of a hockey rink and includes recessed goals. The walls take place of lines and can be used as

It is December 1960, and members of this rural community have gathered around their reel-to-reel tape player to record a special Christmas greeting for one of their boys serving overseas. As the ladies serve up coffee and cookies, Pastor suffers from a case of stage fright, Mavis smuggles a piglet into the kitchen, a surprise visitor leaves Karin speechless, and the widow Vivian Snustad gets caught in an embarrassing situation. Throughout it all, you are encouraged to sing along as Beverly Barsness bangs out Christmas carols on the old upright. So come “Fa La La” with the church Basement Ladies as they deck their fellowship hall.

Use of School District Facilities Rental Our schools and facilities are available for group use and rental. To request use of space within Jordan Public Schools, you are asked to obtain a facility use permit (reservation). Depending on the organization, permits are issued for both no cost facility use and for facility rental. Jordan Public Schools are available to public organizations and groups with adequate insurance and are subject to policies and procedures outlined in the facility use policy (with costs, etc). It is important to note that submitting the request is not a guarantee of a reservation. You will receive an email notification when the request has either been approved or denied.Facility use applications are available at Facilities Scheduling located at Jordan High School or on the district website. Reservations are made through Facility Scheduling by emailing [email protected] or call 952-492-4481.
DISTRICT FACILITY SCHEDULINGUSE AND RENTAL
City of Jordan Park Facilities Rental Lagoon Park has five shelters (two large, one small, a gazebo, and an enclosed shelter) available for reservation. Individuals/groups are only able to reserve park shelters, not the use of the entire park. Reservations are made through Facility Scheduling by emailing [email protected] or call 952-492-4481.Permit cost is $50 per shelter for Jordan residents and $75 for non-residents. There is also a $150 per shelter refundable deposit required at time of reservation for all parties. You must bag trash and you may leave it at the shelter. Events over 100 people or including alcoholic beverages must obtain a special event permit from the City of Jordan at 952-492-2535.

In a crisis situation, the Crisis Nursery may be able to provide short-term child care for children ages newborn to 12 years, when their families are residents of Scott or Carver Counties. Trained advocates are available to help during a crisis.
WIC (Women, Infants & Children) (952) 496-2125 This program provides nutrition information and counseling for pregnant and nursing mothers. Counseling includes information on supplemental foods such as milk, cheese, juice, cereals and infant formula to promote good health. WIC eligibility is based on household income guidelines. If you are currently eligible, voucher pickup days are the second Monday and fourth Tuesday of each month, at the CAP Agency, located on 712 Canterbury Road in Shakopee. Otherwise, appointments must be made in advance by calling.
