For the most part it is simply restating what we currently do and preparing us for future growth. This document is based on the American Miche statement of Policies and Procedures. It will be a wonderful tool for all Home Party Reps.

Rep of the Month!-Maureen C-NL

Our Rep of the Month Maureen has chosen her favourite Shell Tyra!

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for the honour of Rep of the Month for February (and it's my birthday month!!). This truly means the world to me.

I had never hosted nor even attended a home party so becoming a Miche Home Party Representative was certainly not something I ever envisioned! Being a career secretary, it felt so out of my comfort zone. I, too, fell in love once I learned what "the purses with interchangeable shells" were all about!! Nearing retirement (just one more year!!), I am so looking forward to my time being my own and felt this would be a great way to still be in the workforce but on my own terms!!!

My Miche career began in March 2011 and I truly felt like a fish out of water! Even though I had the unrelenting support of my husband, it was very daunting in the beginning. I felt alone especially because I had a very small network of females in my immediate circle thus a lack of support in that regard. Therefore, I knew I had to work really hard to become established in this field but I was up for the challenge! I used many of my vacation days visiting as many businesses as possible. I would speak briefly with front line staff leaving brochures, my business cards and invitations to scheduled open houses. Even though Miche Canada has relaxed

some of the regulations, I still enjoy doing these visits. Social media is great but I firmly believe nothing replaces the one on one interaction. You can't see a smile or the eyes exuding warmth or excitement through email, texting or on facebook, etc.

There were times I will admit that I felt very defeated having worked so hard but feeling like I was taking one step forward and two backward! Thanks to two very special Miche ladies, Michelle K(Kirbs-you rock!) and my sweet Moira (I couldn't have come this far without your help-I adore you!!) for they both became my mentors - providing great advice, support and encouragement. I am also grateful for the group website as it is a lifeline to my Miche sisters!!(Believe it or not, another source of support came from my male co-worker who continues to encourage and reassure me that I have what it takes to be successful with Miche). My journey with Miche is and always will be a work in progress--continuing to build my client base and, most importantly, providing the best customer service to those and all potential clients.

To all of the Miche team, thank you for all you do to help us Miche Reps serve our clients!!

Ask Me About My JobHere is something I learned previously and I am using it with a draw that I do at my parties. I start it at the beginning and it does not finish until the last person places their order. After I introduce myself and thank my Hostess I tell everyone that I do a draw for a Mystery Prize to be held at the end of the night and they must be here to win it. I then go around to each guest and I ask them to introduce themselves and to tell me what they know about Miche. For this info, I give each person 3 tickets to start them off. It is also a good way for me to gage who has Miche and who is new and also what the guests are looking for. Once I have gone around to everyone, I tell them that I am going to give them a chance to earn more tickets! For the next 2 to 3 minutes they can ask me anything about my MICHE job”.The first person to come up with a question will get 3 tickets, the second person will get 2 and every question after that earns 1 ticket.” Questions like “How many hours do you work a week?” and “How long have you been doing it?”, “How much does it cost to start up?”, “What incentives does a host get for having a show?”, “How did you get started?”, “What benefits are there to becoming a Representative?”, “What is the commission?” and more will start coming at you. I answer as positive as I can, “I work as little or as much as I want to work, it really is about getting what you put into it”. I try to be very flexible with timings, “I love being able to set my own hours. Some Reps prefer to only work evenings and weekends because they want to be home with their children.” “I’ve been doing this job for almost 2 years and I’ve never had so much fun or met such wonderful people”. At the end of the Q & A session you can either draw for a prize right then and there or I tell my guests that the game continues through the evening, if they can give me a good tip, or ask me more questions throughout the evening then they can earn more tickets. Finally, when each person comes up to make their purchase they get there last 2 tickets for the evening and once everyone has finished purchasing I hold the draw. The person must be there to win the prize. It’s a lot of fun when the questions start coming in fast and furious… guests try to out-do each other and ask the most questions (they want to be the one with the most tickets) and it’s GREAT for teaching people about your business and how it might benefit them. Give it a try!

I wanted to share that I have six Parties booked ahead of me all because of the promotion that I am holding until March 31st. I know it is a controversial one among Reps but I have to say it does work wonder with me. I have been offering double the incentives to my Hostess a couple times in the past three years of being a Miche Rep. This time I am offering it from February 1st to March 31st. Right in the down time and in time to book for April. By filling in February and March, I find it easier to book April, May and June. Yes for sure I will not cumulate new Shells on my table during that time, but what is more important: money or the free Shells? And I still have a couple of banked incentives that I will be able to use for those gorgeous February Shells and I do not aim to get all the Shells on the table, only those that I feel are the best sellers.

Party Animals of the Week!

To earn the coveted title of Miche Party Animal for any given week and see your name in print, you need to be a member of the HomeParty Rep system and do at least two Parties from Wednesday of one week to Tuesday of the following week. The Representative who does the most Parties is honoured as the Top Miche Party Animal of the Week.

NOTE: A party is a minimum of $300.00.
