Ipswich Arts Association welcomes three new member groups: Eye Bach Choir www.eyebachchoir.co.uk Felixstowe Musical Theatre www.felixstowemusicaltheatre.co.uk and 4 Seasons Theatre Group www.4seasonstheatregroup.org.uk Member Society Profile The Elgar Society was founded to honour the memory of Sir Edward Elgar and promote interest in his life and work. The East Anglian branch meets eight times a year for illustrated talks on Elgar in Bury St Edmunds. Dates of the next meetings are 6th April, 4th May, 1st June, 6th July. All meetings start at 2.30pm. Further information from Robin Self [email protected] 01728 621577 The Mayor’s Concert Sunday 23rd February Thank you to all who made this concert such a huge success: We had a capacity audience and a wide ranging, highly entertaining programme, which raised £1,100 for distribution between Mayor, Councillor Mary Blake’s three nominated charities: Crisis UK, Lighthouse Women’s Aid Ipswich, and Town 102 Kids Trust. For a review and photos of this concert visit www.ipswicharts.org.uk During the event, the Mayor awarded IAA Chair Professor Christopher Green OBE with an Ipswich Borough Council Community Award for his services to Music and the Arts in Ipswich.
