Jaden Nathaniel Griggs died Wednesday,July 4, 2012, due to injuries from a caraccident.

Jaden was born on February 8, 1994, inHavre, to Vanessa Griggs and Jack Murray.A loving son, grandchild, big brother, nephewand cousin, Jaden wore a smile every day ofhis life. A fun-loving young man, he enjoyedspending time with his grandparents andfamily camping, fishing and playing cards. Aproud brother, Jaden was looked up to by allof his younger cousins. He had a passion forauto mechanics, gained from spending yearswith his father and friends on derby cars inthe shop.

Jaden enjoyed working at Pizza Hut andspending his free time working on his friends’and his own vehicles. He was an avid Broncosand Griz fan, loved Fords and hunted everyyear with his grandfather and cousins. Withfriends, he was a night fisherman, played videogames and enjoyed the outdoors. He

graduated in May from Havre High School and recently traveled to Dearborn,Michigan, to compete in the 2012 National Ford/AAA Student Auto SkillsCompetition after placing first at the state competition in Helena. He was goingto study diesel mechanics at Montana State University-Northern in the fall.

He was a member of First Lutheran Church and the Bullhook Bottoms BlackPowder Club in Havre.

Jaden is survived by his parents, Vanessa (Mark Hofer) Griggs and Jack(Tammy) Murray; sisters, Berlyn and Bailey Griggs and Mallory Murray, all ofHavre.

He is also survived by his grandparents, Jim and Bonita Griggs and MaryLouMurray, all of Havre; his great-grandma, Ruth McCall; his aunts, Chamene (Cliff)Plum of Havre, Mariah (Bill) Rathbun of Hingham, and Peggy (Matt) Hermes ofMissoula; his uncles, Cameron Griggs of Missoula and Kendall (Rose) Griggs ofBrady; his cousins, Christina and Zach Plum and Gina Griggs of Havre, Kayla,Alicia and Keiana Griggs of Missoula, Sidney and Luke Griggs of Brady, ReidDanell of Shelby, Emily and Riley Hermes of Missoula. He is also survived by hisgirlfriend, Mikell Kinsella of Havre.

Jaden was preceded in death by his uncles, Jim Murray and J.D. Griggs; andhis grandfather, Tim Murray.
