Eclipse-based development environment. Includes:
Type Designer: define data objects (including source and target data
structures).
Map Designer: develop maps that define your data transformation logic.
Integration Flow Designer: design systems of maps that model your data
transformation business processes.
Database Interface Designer: import metadata from relational databases to generate
type trees for queries or tables.
SDK: APIs for C, C#, Java, EJB and COBOL.
WTX Runtime: test and execute maps in a development environment.

X12 – B2B standard for inter-industry electronic exchange of business transactions; primarily in North America
EDIFACT – (Electronic Data Interchange For Administration, Commerce, and Transport) International standard for EDI
EANCOM - A subset of EDIFACT, EAN defines unique id codes for products and locations also used for barcodes. Designed for the retail, EANCOM is used in healthcare, transport, electronics and publishing.
TRADACOMS – an EDI standard used in the retail sector for general merchandise, primarily in the UK
ODETTE – (Organization for Data Exchange by Tele Transmission in Europe) e-business communications standard fro the automotive industry
HIPAA – (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act) addresses standardization of electronic patient health, administrative, and financial data
HL7 – (Health Level 7) is an ANSI-accredited standards organization who’s domain is clinical data
NCPDP - (National Council for Prescription Drug Programs) standards maintenance organization for finalized HIPAA transactions; used in the retail pharmacy sector.
