IBS2020’s Abstract Writing Guide
Thank you all for joining IBS2020 Congress, which is scheduled for Feb 16 th-18th
2020 at Semnan University, Iran with cooperation of Iranian Biology Society (IBS).
Before submitting the paper abstract, you need to register for a user account by visiting the “Join Congress/User Log-in” menu at the top of the Home page of the IBS2020 Congress website.
You will be directed to the below page in which you can log-in or sign-up as a new user. As a new user, you may click on the “Signup” button, and complete the registration form. However, in the next visits, you can fill-in the fields provided in the “User Log-in” section to access your account.

After logging into your user account, you’ll be able to submit your paper abstract.
You can also use the “User Control Panel” section provided at the upper rightmost of the website’s body page below banners.
There are two steps for submitting a paper: - at first, click on “New Paper” menu at the left column in your user profile.
Fill in the required fields directly and click on the “Submit” button. You can select “Go to the Paper Status menu” in the new page; OR

- To participate in the IBS2020 Congress, you only need to submit the abstract version of your papers.
- You are required to select the presentation type in the paper submission page; it could be as either “Poster” or “Oral” presentation. However, our reviewers shall evaluate the abstracts and final decision on the presentation type will be made based on the reviewer’s feedbacks. It means that you might register for oral presentation, but reviewers decide that your paper is only acceptable for paper presentation.
- Only such paper abstracts, which completely follow the provided “Paper Abstracts Template”, will be evaluated by Congress reviewers. Therefore, authors are expected to download the template form “Congress Templates” menu in the home page, and insert their own work in the respective fields. Please don’t modify header contents. Be careful to read the provided texts before replacing it with your own contents, as these are detailed instructions on the paper requirements.

- In your user account, go to the “Paper Status” menu to see list of such papers for which you already completed the submission form. You will find a box entitled as “Paper Files” for each paper. Please upload the respective files as per the instructions below.
Kindly note that:
IBS2020 only accepts such paper abstracts, which haven’t been presented/ published on other congresses/journals.Each author is allowed to submit at most two (2) abstracts as the main (corresponding) author, for any other paper beside this limit, you’ll be required to pay extra fees.The Author(s) are solely responsible for correctness and accuracy of the submitted/presented papers.

IBS2020 will not accept review articles; however, data mining studies are welcomed.
Considering the COVID-19 pandemics, the Congress Committee has approved that it will be held virtually; the online platform for presenting the papers is under construction and will be announced soon.The submitted abstracts will be accepted and evaluated for free. However, after your paper is designated as “Initial Acceptance”, you need to pay the registration fee for final acceptance of your paper and to receive the Congress Certificate. For payment of the registration fee, you can contact the Executive Team at “[email protected]” or “[email protected]”.
