The project „Ökonomische

Grundbildung“ (basic economic

education) is a further extension of

the portal.

It aims at offering ecological skills and

knowledge considering everyday life

and working environments to

educational disadvantaged target

groups.

Individuals who live in poverty and are

in risk of indebtedness are supported

by helping them cope with their

difficult situations. They can learn how

to make use of their resources in a

self-determined and self-respondent

way.

The platform www.ich-will-lernen.de

supports people of low basic education

by offering a cost free access to

education which does not depend on a

specific time scheme or location, as it

can be used at any time on the internet.

It empowers learners to act

independently and promotes their

learning competence by means of

online teaching methods.

It is aimed at young people without

proper school graduation who attend

classes after school years, like

preparatory classes for job

apprenticeships in adult education

institutions and the like.

It is has been designed as a blended learning tool and can

be used along with reading and writing classes, in schools

and training centres.

It is possible to use the platform on any PC, at home or elsewhere.
