ICT Suitecase study

Royal Alexandra and Albert School has an on-going programme of developments to accommodate the increase in pupil numbers, upgrade existing buildings and develop new facilities.

As the ICT suites are located close to the reception area, the school were looking to upgrade their interiors to create showcase facilities for students and parents from the UK and EU.

One of the key elements of the project was providing a full turnkey solution, ensuring a single point of contact and hassle free project management.

The Royal Alexandra and Albert School is a co-educational boarding school situated in the picturesque Gatton Park. The school traces its origin back to 1758 and has been connected with the royal family throughout its long history, from the Queen to the Duchess of Gloucester. Innova worked closely with the school to design, manufacture and install two state of the art ICT suites as part of a full turnkey solution which included partitioning as well as a new ceiling, lighting, decoration and flooring.

The ICT suites were installed with Innova’s sawtooth benching layout to maximise the working space for the students. The design increases space for equipment and books and improves visibility, enabling the teacher to see all students’ screens and making classroom management easier.

The seating arrangement also eases circulation, allowing teachers to quickly reach students who need support.

Innova also installed a multi-purpose teacher wall, designed to integrate teaching resources and storage, freeing up valuable classroom space.

The teacher wall houses the interactive whiteboard, filing systems, and displays as well as integrated power and data cables.

With outstanding new ICT facilities to inspire staff and students for years to come, Royal Alexandra and Albert is equipping itself for the educational challenges of the future.
