Project Based Learning A Reference Point
• engage student interest and motivation – learner driven. • Learners address immediate issues affecting community. • provokes students to encounter (and struggle with) the central
concepts and principles of a discipline. • communication and presentation skills, organization and time
management skills, research and inquiry skills, self-assessment and reflection skills, and group participation and leadership skills.
• generally done by groups of students working together toward a common goal
• Performance is assessed on an individual basis, and takes into account the quality of the product produced, the depth of content understanding demonstrated, and the contributions made to the ongoing process of project realization.
• allows students to reflect upon their own ideas and opinions, exercise voice and choice

Project Based Learning The Experience at PMM Girls’ School
• Started in 2009 with 20 students.
• Students joined voluntarily for varied reasons
• It empowers students with 21st century skills and technology to enable them impact targeted communities.
• The learners decide on an issue and embark on creating a digital media on it
• They exhibit and share their learning experiences.

• Realize your potentials and your passion and use it to impact beyond classroom and school.
• Document the things you do and share.
• Embrace ICT for Education and Development.
• Don’t look at the money bit first.
