“If you can’t outplay them, outwork

    them.”

“What you lack in talent can be made up with de-

sire, hustle, and giving 110 percent all the time.”

“One man can be a crucial ingredient on a team,

but one man cannot make a team. ”

    this. Playing at

    best thing that has

Up until the academic year 2019/2020, the Government is making

available to all schools a sum of money annually to allow them to

continue to develop sports provision within school and to help

schools increase pupil participation in sporting activity. This money

presently equates to £8000 per school per year plus an additional

£5 per child. For our school this means approximately £9,200 per

    year.

The Governors agree that the money must be used so that: all chil-

dren benefit regardless of sporting ability; that the most able chil-

dren are given the opportunity to compete in advanced tourna-

ments; that staff have access to training opportunities and contin-

    ued professional development.

    Horse Riding

    Our children are given the

    unique opportunity to try

out a sport that may oth-

    erwise not be consid-

    ered .

    A group of children travel

    to Stainsby Grange

week to learn how to care

    for and ride horses. They

    improve both their physi-

This year we have been Lucky enough to engage directly with

three Elite athlete tournaments. We were lucky enough to be in-

vited to watch and meet some of the All Blacks as they trained at

    Darlington Mowden Park.

This inspired us to have a go at tag rugby which we continued to

practice throughout the year. As a reward for our efforts and en-

thusiasm we were asked to be the representatives of Newcastle

Falcons at a tag tournament at Twickenham.

We get expert training from Grant

wicket keeping and stumping are all

things we are keen to improve.

We have strong links with the local Arts and Cultural Ser-

    the year.

    Every Thursday I practice

Every Monday we practice our invasion game skills

with the Axiom Volunteers who work alongside Teesside

Mohawks our local University Basketball team. They are

American and we love their accents. Monday’s sessions

are so much fun. We have even had chance to match our
