If each area golfer donates the average cost of a

round of golf in Chattanooga ($43), the total

monies collected would account for the

majority of our annual program budget.

The First Tee of Chattanooga is most fortunate

to now have our own facility, at the former

home of Hickory Valley Golf Course on

Hickory Valley Road. Designed by noted golf

course architect Bill Bergin, the facility is state

of the art, and, though it will be shared by

UTC’s golf programs, it belongs to the kids.

Together we can make a difference in the lives

of many young people, and the future of our

Chattanooga community, all while promoting

the game we love so much.

And all for only the cost of a single round of golf…

Imagine the impact of youth, regardless of their socio-economic background, learning and displaying core values in their lives such as honesty, integrity and respect. Then ask yourself this question – “What sport better teaches these values than the game of golf?”

That is exactly what we believe at The First Tee of Chattanooga. The mission of The First Tee nationally is “to impact the lives of young people by providing educational programs that build character, instill life-enhancing values and promote healthy choices through the game of golf.”

The First Tee of Chattanooga is committed to this mission. To make this great program available to Chattanooga area youth we are now blessed with one of the best, if not the best, learning centers in the country.

The city of Chattanooga, our generous corporate community, and a few benevolent individuals joined together and in 2010 made a long time dream of The First Tee of Chattanooga come true, a unique and first class “Player Development Complex.”

Now that we have this great facility it is a great opportunity for the local golf community to step forward and help sustain The First Tee program. What we need from the golfing community is a little bit of help from a lot of people.

Stop and think about the following for a moment.

If each area golfer donates the average cost of a round of golf in Chattanooga ($43), the total monies collected would account for the majority of our annual program budget.

As president of the board of directors I am asking you, as a Chattanooga area golfer, help us in our endeavour by sharing the cost of a single round of golf.

Please fill out the attached card and return it, along with a check made payable to The First Tee of Chattanooga, or donate online at www.thefirstteechattanooga.org. Help us to continue to teach The First Tee Nine Core Values© through the game of golf for years to come.

Finally, please stop by The Player Development Complex and tour the facility at your convenience. Your contribution entitles you to use of the range for a day (normally not open to the public), so plan to “experience” the facility for yourself.
