IFAW Report on AAW 2010: 1. AAW 2010 school activities AAW 2010 composition/art/children’ drama competitions officially ended on Dec 31 st , 2010. IFAW started to receive packages sent by teachers. More works are still on the way and we are expecting to receive them all by the end of January. So far, we have received responses from 55 schools with more than 35,000 students attending AAW 2010 school activities.

IFAW Report on AAW 2010:

1. AAW 2010 school activities

AAW 2010 composition/art/children’ drama competitions officially ended on Dec 31st, 2010. IFAW started to receive packages sent by teachers. More works are still on the way and we are expecting to receive them all by the end of January. So far, we have received responses from 55 schools with more than 35,000 students attending AAW 2010 school activities.

“Jungle King without Territory” by Liu Yihong from Wuhan Nanwangshan Primary School

“Tiger” by Zhang Aixi from Kunming No.12 High School Over two months, 33 primary schools participated in AAW 2010 from Lanzhou, the capital of Gansu Province. AAW volunteers from nine university green groups went into schools and held more than 100 classroom activities. Both students and teachers enjoyed the campus exhibitions and lectures.

Lanzhou Wanli Primary School

2,Events organized at Beijing Natural History Museum. Two events with the theme of “Save the tiger at the end of tiger year” were organized at Beijing Museum of Natural History on Dec 12th and 25th, 2010. Interesting interactive games were designed to help students learn about tigers, threats tigers face and how to protect tigers. 49 students signed Tiger Day petition. Positive responses received from both participants and volunteers who were responsible to organize the events.
