Introduction
A personal computer (PC) is a multi-purpose computer whose size, capabilities,
and price make it workable for separate use. PC’s operated directly by an end user,
rather than by a computer expert or technician. Computer time-sharing models that
were typically used with larger, more expensive minicomputer and mainframe
systems, to enable them be used by many people at the same time, are not used
with PCs.
Processing devices
CPU: The CPU (Figure: 1.1) is a silicon chip which contains thousands of
electronic circuits. Has a fan to keep it cool. The chip is also known as a
microprocessor.
(Figure: 1.1)
Function/Work: CPU processes the data in the computer. Sends
messages to and from the input devices, output devices and storage devices.
Motherboard: Motherboard (Figure: 1.2) is PC‘s main printed circuit board
which is Setup inside the System Unit.
(Figure: 1.2)
Function/Work: The motherboard houses the processor (CPU), memory
(RAM), buses and other components e.g graphic cards, sound cards, PCI
cards (like USB, scanners) to plug into.
RAM: RAM - Random Access Memory (Figure: 1.3) is a series of chips on the
motherboard.
(Figure: 1.3)
Function/Work: Control system software and application software
commands and instructions. Temporary holding area for data while
processing occurs.
Input/output devices
Input Device: Input device is a computer hardware equipment used to provide
data and control signals to an information processing system such as a computer or
information appliance.
Types of Input devices: Keyboards (Figure: 1.4), Mouse (Figure: 1.5),
Scanners (Figure: 1.6), Digital Cameras (Figure: 1.7) etc.
(Figure: 1.4)
(Figure: 1.5)
(Figure: 1.6)
(Figure: 1.7)
Output Device: An output device is computer hardware that uses received data
and commands from a computer in order to perform on a task. This leads to the
results of data processing carried out by an information processing system which
converts the electronically generated information into human-readable form.
Types of Input devices: speakers (Figure: 1.8), Projectors (Figure:
1.9), Monitor (Figure: 2.1), Printer (Figure: 2.2) etc.

Requirement for my PC
Monitor: 20" Inch LED Smart Monitor
RAM: 4GB
Processor: 7th Generation Intel Core™ i5
SSD: 120GB
HDD: 1TB
Speakers: 2.0 stereo speaker/Normal Speaker
Why I choose the specific devices for my ‘ultimate’ pc?
As I’m a “Computer Science (Network Security)” Student, so I don’t need
high/latest requirement for PC. I just have to focus on system performance for
that I use SSD which is improve my system unit. It will make my PC 35%
faster. If I’m talking about RAM & Processor then those are okay for my work.
So, that’s the reason I’m choose the specific devices for my ‘Ultimate PC’.
Who should get your ‘ultimate’ pc and why?
For who do work with Microsoft offices, Internet Browsing and all kind of
normal work (Like Business Man, Shop Store etc.) And who are like me they
should get this PC. Because, the Requirement I used that’s enough for those
kind of work performance.
The price range of my ‘ultimate’ pc
Item Price(Approx.) Monitor 250RM
Mouse 24RM
Keyboard 40RM
Motherboard 350RM
Power Supply 200RM
Casing 250RM
RAM 160RM
Processor 760RM
SSD 240RM
HDD 370RM
Speakers 30RM
So, overall my PC’s Price range is approximately “2700RM –
3000RM”
