Education Initiatives

Student Clubs

IGDA Student Clubs serve as a foundation for our student representatives to better cultivate their development into the professional community. With support on a global and local scale, we aim to encourage and support student drive.

IGDA Squadron

The Squadron acts as our super volunteer infrastructure, enabling driven students to participate in local and global developer events.

‘Breaking In’ Video Series

The number one question students ask is how to break into the industry. Collaborating with studios around the world, we aim to fill the knowledge gap with solid information, real stories, and invaluable advice from from our development partners.

Tools & Best Practices Webinars

We plan to offer a comprehensive library of content aimed at students and faculty from our studio and software partners.

Student Showcase

Student projects so often push the boundaries of established game design. As a platform for peer and professional review, we plan to offer locations at major industry events to demo and receive feedback on games in development.

Scholarships

We strive to champion students who display excellence in community and personal endeavors. Efforts such as the GDC Scholarship Program allow us to promote growth opportunities for the best and brightest.

Ask A Developer

Developer’s real world experiences hold a wealth of knowledge students are eager to tap in to. We intend to act as the channel by which the significant questions are answered and shared with the student community at large.

SCRUM Training Opportunities

SCRUM is one of the leading project management methodologies used in the development process. We hope that by providing training opportunities, that dedicated students can get a leg up in the jobs marketplace.
