Agent FAQs: e‐Signature Process 

 

What do I need in order to collect an electronic signature with iGO?  You can apply e‐Signature using an iPad/tablet or using a signature pad on a PC or laptop (you must purchase your own signature pad). 

 

What type of signature pad is compatible with iGO?  iGO is compatible with the any of the following Topaz Signature Pad models using Internet Explorer 8, 9 (32 bit only, not 64 bit) and 10:

How do I obtain a Topaz Signature Pad? You can purchase a Topaz Signature Pad directly from the Topaz website, http://www.topazsystems.com. Your signature pad will come with set‐up instructions to install onto your computer. 

Do I need to download any additional applications to use the e‐Signautre feature on my iPad? No, you do not need any additional downloads. PLEASE NOTE: iGO e‐App is not yet supporting the new Apple iOS7 update. We recommend you not download iOS7 yet if they intend to use your Apple device to e‐Sign applications. 

Do I need to update my web browser in order to use the e‐Signature feature? The e‐Signature  feature using a Topaz Signature Pad  is only accessible using Microsoft® Internet Explorer  (8,9,10). The e‐Signature  feature via  iPad  is accessible using Apple® Safari® (for Mac). 

What do I need to participate in the e‐Sign process? In order to participate in the e‐Sign process, you must have obtained all green checkmarks in the navigation tree of your iGO e‐App and a gold star on your page. These visual cues within the iGO e‐App let you know that your application is in good order and ready to be locked for the e‐Signature process. You then can select “Collect signature using a signature pad or an iPad.” 

How does the Digital Pad or iPad signature option differ? If you have a digital signature pad or iPad available and those who need to sign are all in the same location, you can skip several of the steps involving in the e‐mail option.  

What is the iGO e‐App e‐Signature process for an agent?  

1. Validate that the app is 100 percent in Good Order. Lock the app.  2. If using a Topaz digital signature pad, plug in the signature pad into the computer and open the digital pad. 3. Choose Signature Pad or iPad Signature Method and select Next:                                       

   4. When choosing iPad or Digital Pad, your client(s) will each have to (each will have their own set of consent forms to review):  

Agree to “Terms of Use and Signature Consent”  and Fully review the app before and after applying their e‐Signature   

                                 

    

 

    Enter the city and state where they are signing the application, acknowledge the disclosures and apply their e‐Signature using a digital signature pad or iPad 

 

                  

     5. Once the client has completed their portion, it is now your turn.   You will need to Agree to the “Terms of Use and Electronic Signature Consent”  

 

Review the app, which will have everyone’s signature on it except your own. Be sure to select all the disclosures once your review is complete: 

   

 

   

 

NOTE: As a reminder, you will be asked to provide leave behind forms. If you select “No” you will still be able to proceed with the next step in the process.  

  

             

   

Select the disclosures, apply your e‐Signature and Submit the app:
